I do love the "puberty blockers are reversible" myth. Puberty happens at a specific time - the drugs just hamstring it. You can't just queue it up again. When you go off, puberty doesn't just happen after - your body just misses the boat entirely.
The myth was there 100% safe and reversible. Then the Nordic countries came out with peer review studies that showed they weren't safe and certainly were not reversible. That in some cases live time shorting damage was being done . Since then Multiple studies done before or around the same time as these Nordic studies have been found coming to the same conclusions. Turns out the Uk and US hid research that went against the narrative.

The illusion of reversibility when in fact there's no going back - it's important to hide the finality of commitment when you are proposing irreversible change, because decisions are the more serious - the more final they are and so scammers need to soothe hesitancy, like parasites often anesthetize the victim.

Asmon isn't wrong that most people say they're accepting of trans but aren't. I was a manager at a call center and one of the employees looked male but wore dresses, wigs, and makeup to work. They would also use the womens bathroom. The number of women that complained they were uncomfortable with this was huge. We had team meetings that consisted of just listening to the complaints. In the end it wasn't really solved so much as avoided. We had to give that person security access to a different part of the building so they could use an individual bathroom rather than a public one. So yeah it's easy to say I support trans people when you don't have to share a bathroom.
Honestly there are really only 3 issues with the whole trans topic that most people actually have problems with. The first is allowing or encouraging kids that you wouldn't let consent to anything permanent or major in any other circumstance with making permanent body alterations. The second is that males who say they're trans when it's actually just a sexual fetish or them lying because they are a predator and want to get access to women's spaces they normally wouldn't be allowed in. The third is that there are biological differences between males and females who've gone through puberty which make it unfair for women to have to compete against in sports.
All of these make sense. People want to protect children. People want women to be safe from predators. And people want sports to be fair competition.
Normal people don't actually have an issue if someone who is 18 wants to transition, change their name, and wear the clothing of another gender. Rue Pauls drag race's popularity makes it perfectly clear with it's high ratings and many seasons that it's not really an issue. The issue's come down to protect kids, protect women, and sports should be fair.
My example of the call center falls into the protect women category. Once that person was no longer using the womens washroom we no longer had any complaints.
There are biological differences between male and female in the womb. It's not just puberty. Fetuses have vast differences too.

I have a nephew that's 7 or 8, his parents are currently dealing with teachers grooming him. He's like a little flamboyant, he likes purple and Taylor swift and dancing around. He also plays with toy cars and plays hockey. So it's whatever. He'll figure it out and everyone loves him regardless.
Now the teachers on the other hand, they placed him in a class that was selected that almost entirely female, so he had no exposure to developing other male friends at school. And all the white female and a gay male teacher have been badgering him about his preferred pronouns.
He has no clue what that means and his parents have now been dealing with a bunch of issues and confusion caused by this. He's fucking 7 and teachers are trying to get him to answer what genitals he feels he should have been born with.

Puberty blockers were originally a treatment for those who started puberty too early. If they were truly "reversible" with no side effects, they wouldn't have worked to treat early puberty. The only time hormone blockers are supposed to be given to children is if they have precocious puberty (think a 6 year old boy who goes through or starts going through puberty), and its only supposed to be given in the smallest amounts possible to reduce hormones back to age appropriate levels.
My best friend from childhood transitioned after college. And I am here to tell you, Asmon is not wrong. My best friend went from happy and laid back, to being very unhappy and bitter towards everyone around them. As for being a "condition" rather than a mental illness? My friend was SA'd as a child, they were not born that way. They needed mental help, not enablement.

Honestly, i have several nieces and nephews and they really do start to act and behave like a girl or boy pretty early on, id say 3 - 5 is pretty accurate.
I should add, IMO, noone should be transitioned before 18 and hormone blockers should be banned before 18. What happened to accepting people for who they are? Once people turn 18 they can do what they want to themselves.
Transitioning earlier isnt better. Its actually the oposite.
If the kid is put on puberty blocker and never goes through puberty, they end up with micro p and when they want to surgically transition, they dont have enough biological tissue to do the procedure properly and it drastically increase the risk of complications.

My wifes friend has a teenage kid, who few years back had a phase. We all treated her with kindness, preferred pronouns and social transition. You know what we didnt treat her with? Hormones. Puberty is the only way to FORM an identity, that's when you first see the steps to becoming the adult you. It teaches you so much about yourself you never even would have known to be a question before. Before then it's only guessing, and kids really don't know what they want at that time.

Yeah, I agree. I'm trans and I can guarantee you that I never even truly realised I was trans until somewhere around early to mid 16. And my childhood (to my recollection) had practically no close connection with anyone who was related to lgbt, so I never had much exposure to it. If you are a kid and somehow believe you are trans, then that is the product of either your parents or social media, not who you really are.
