Well, it happened... paypal took notice of me and limited my account, pending receipt of various documents. Heck.
This may mean that Paypal as a method of payment is lost to me; if so, I'll have to work out an alternative method if I hope to open commissions again.
If any of y'all that do NSFW comms yourself has any advice, I'm all ears!
Let's say there's a reason I recall not including Ko-Fi as a payable methods, under 'can't be paid directly for commissions' lens. But it is, what it is.
I’m sorry to hear that, I had that happen to me last year, and moved to Wise.com for most of what I’m doing. I did end up setting up a new PayPal business account several months after they closed my old one, but I only use it when absolutely necessary (mostly to make payments rather than receive them), and try hard not to have any sales link directly to it. Unfortunately, Wise is less user-friendly as far as the interface goes. I also use Cash app (though that may be exclusively US-based).
And none of the direct peer-to-peer payment systems I can find are officially supportive of sales of adult content, so my best advice is to never let them hold on to your money any longer than absolutely necessary, and always be prepared to pivot to something else. I’d be happy to help you test a new payment method sometime if you want.
To put a bit of another angle or lens/approach, in expanding on your own case use here.
Here's a brief excerpt of what I writ up during my desk research (that I've yet to finish/iron out for 2023+).

(By far the best/'safest' bet, atm is) Banks. (Instead of online payment processors.)
Only caveat is, NSFW commissions would likely be leered down, under the "High Risk/Vice" business, that honestly has also affected even condoms and such. But if you can set up with them, or another "high risk" merchant account? That is probably better than PayPal in reliability. Even if it may come with strings attached.
While I agree, the biggest problem with direct bank-to-bank transfers is that those tend to be very hard to arrange, expensive, or both when sending money across national borders, which tends to be a sticking point for a niche fetish where we’re scattered all over the world.

Hassle wise, I had considered this nail for ages. And still got a PM/Forum post to iron out that's more "what you can do", over DOOT.
Did a PM Check with a few others over it. So I'll throw what I have so far to you, in case a nugget if advice there helps.
Also, I'm weary against PatPal for this precise reason.

Try Ko-Fi: their creator rapport is MILES ahead of where PayPal is (and even was, if I’m being completely honest.)

Regretfully, they were my first choice before paypal. I got maybe two payments through them before they sussed me out and froze my account. :(

Really? P
This has gotta be the first time I’ve ever heard such a thing happen.
