Foreword

Hey
there readers! I'm sure you're wanting to get into the story, but let
me take a few minutes of your time first to explain one or two
things. The world of Corthux differs in a few ways to Earth, but the
important ones so you don't get confused are dates and times.
First
off, the time. A Corthuxian day is 27 hours, divided into three
cycles; P.C. (Prenoon Cycle), A.C. (Afternoon Cycle) and N.C. (Night
Cycle). Each cycle is 9 hours. Every hour is 36 minutes

was thrown open, possibly even kicked, though she couldn't entirely

"I can do this!" Said a

wondering Jamie is currently high in the sky. Well to her anyway, as

day started out picturesque—calm and warm, sunny where light was
able to break through the forest's canopy, alive with the movement of
hundreds of pokemon going about their day to anyone with a keen
enough eye to spot them. This particular stretch of woods is home to

It's as warm and
comfortable a day as anyone could ask for. The sun is bright, but the
gentle stirring of the breeze across the meadow keeps the heat from
being overwhelming. Clouds roll by lazily in a sea of blue up above,
and the whole world is calm and at rest. At the fringes of the
gently-sloping field, a thicket of trees sits, home to many of the

the time she got home, Q’s stomach was aching with its live
contents, and constantly rumbling a long, distressed protest. The
