I'd like to imagine that Falin speaking to departed Marcille is not just the theme of predators speaking to departed and digested prey, but that she was speaking very literally in the previous picture and Marcille's soul has been digested into her body, and Falin is capable of speaking to her. (I THINK she is canonically a cleric so there's room to say there's a form of divine magic that allows this, or that Falin is exploiting one in this manner.)
