This art was done in a mix of Blender and Krita. I often use Blender when an art piece has very complicated line art, being able to work in vector with Blender's Grease Pencil tool makes the line art much faster and I think tends to lead to better-quality results in many cases :3

The main improvements in this card art over some of my previous work is that I have a better understanding how of how to use shadows for fluids, and a better understanding of how to use textures in shading.

using a textured brush while adding highlights instead of a smooth brush can be a huge gigantic improvement in how natural it feels. I really like the subtle vine textures in this piece, both the kind of speckled almost transparent highlights going over them and the splotchy patches that help them feel a bit more round.

I'm not going to lie I'm very happy with how this turned out :3 *proud fox noises*

For the actual card I actually pull out some detail (notably the bubbles around Lulu's face) to help the card art scale better to the lower resolution UwU

I was unsure about the background, but I started to sketch out some deeper bushes that Lulu is getting pulled into and decided I realy liked the look of them as a kind of soft, subtle etching lines.

And there are stickers because I just can't resist adding little teasy stickers to pieces X3
