Always curious with how the lore of these types of worlds work. I mean of course that is not really what matters since that is not the main point anyway, but always curious with how world-building works in these kinds of scenarios.
I wrote many worlds and to summarise you either get ones who are more like irl and where vore is new/the preds hide themselves or one partially if entirely alien to our own as history and societies with the norms/codes form and exist profoundly differently depending on how long the simple existence of vore left an influence to a far higher degree simply stating its "haha peoples eat other peoples" would be more insulting to them by reducing much, much more depht.
Very interesting and a good introspection exercise if wrote in detail very well on the very building blocks of what specific views/ways we were raised to assume on as normality in our world and how artificially made and choosen in particular ways often long ago often out of our control many things are in society with its expectations.
This is an interesting perspective. In my original characters' lore vore is sort of loosely understood and kind of operates on cartoon logic (if a character perishes onscreen, they're completely revived before the next comic). Kind of gives the best of both worlds where the vore can have some sadism but not get too depressing.
Well i more so think for my preferences that vore shouldnt be exclusively purely taken from a lewd/pleasure perspective and so i often prefer the more realist aproach as i think the worlds often more as a immersive simulation of people with lives and existence rather than take the cartoony aproach, vore simply is a fact of life as we do the rest of our personal needs and practices in real life and with its lot of own rules and morals everything is challenge the very conventions of real life whom fundamentaly often wouldnt be compatible as is with a world where vore change such core principles of humanity not taken into account on our world beyond the far away or belonging in earlier eras cannibal peoples whom themselves arent entirely quite exact but merely close to a example of vore given their far more limited uses for it that a world with vore in many ways could/would add. I like the potential of fatal as it help in getting a feeling of progression but also a real sense of a point and only further humanise the characters if adding depht to their perspective and reality. I do not generally see vore again as purely sexual or to be painted as solely good or evil but take a more nuanced prefered stance with both for example tragic and wholesome things simply happening organicly as outside of being writen into forcefully as i can.
So while some casual classic forced vore scenarios as are often drawn or writen here can be still very enjoyable to me, hardly nothing beat a pred and prey with purposes that while of course primarily driven by the order of luck and a difference in power or skillset can mean so much more such as even a ritual or/and spiritual aproach of the mere fact of two being becoming one and living on togheter unseparated t'ill death wherever natural or from the predator's own fall at the end of someone else. The way that as the old saying go the spice of life can happen in such a world with up and down just as in real life i think only greatly add to the excitement and power of the reality and person with vore with the lot of varied complex emotions/personalities that goes in pair rather than simply only hunger.
In my world vore Is something unknown for most of society, preds aré hidden hunters AND there Is an organization That on their moves includes models agency linked with a kind of restaurant for preds, but instead make people missing, the agency colect ADN of their models to create "programable" clone, so the pred can choice an spesific Prey with a spesific programed personality, so the original person keep their life as a model or normal person.
while their clónes got Sell and vored by preds. In this world thats Is llegal and underground.
even there Is special sells where the original model reach a certain age, or don't fulfill they Beauty standard so Is sold as a special course, but to do not alert the autorities for the missing of a person, they Send one of the clones programed with the most clóse personality of of the original person.
The clone Only difference Is the clónes Is kinda robotic in actitude and have a barcode in a part of their body..
Outside this, some preds like my ocs Annie voe deimos Quetzo etc. They hunt regular people as food, but in a very discret way.
Some like voe even have a hunt strategy by don't hunting twise or very often in the same área or clóse, to do not create a pattern of dissapearnces.
