When a father commits a sin, the whole lineage is called to answer, and when a king steps out of line, one must punish every subject... Or at least that's what Lei Liu thought to herself as she scarfed down guard after guard, citizen after citizen. At the rate she was eating, what was once the shining capital of the Kingdom of Ulma would be a ghost town by nightfall.

Truth be told, the loss of human and other sapients' lives didn't really cause her much dismay, her mind more focused on how delicious they were and how rare it was to have opportunities like this. Certainly, she had unleashed her hunger on unruly villages and rival clans before, but an actual city? She was so grateful Emperor Woli had tasked her with putting down this rebellion. And from the looks of it, things back home were becoming more and more unstable, every rebellion bringing a new opportunity, and a tasty population base to go with it...

Here, we see a follow-up to the other Hayma pieces, the devouring of the queen and her digestive demise, which were the opening act in the "Catalay Catastrophe". After savoring the rebellious queen, Lei Liu helped herself to the rest of the royal entourage... And she was still hungry for more. There's an entire city out there, and they would be forced to answer for their queen's misgivings...
