MY review of the series:
Honestly, like most Manwha, Solo Farming has a nice beginning section that I enjoyed, but then it eventually goes off the rails with powercreep to the point there are no real stakes - reading the light novel to see what goes on later, I see that what should have been a story-long problem that accur alongside the slice of life stuff is basically speedran:
- being stuck on Floor 99 is only really a problem in Act 1, when the MC gains too many overpowered animal friend side characters around him the danger of being on the hardest floor as just an easily-killed farmer basically disappears because everyone is on his side by chapter 150 or so - there are also so many side characters that those who aren't favored by the author in Act 1 can disappear/be forgotten about for over 300 chapters of irrelevancy in later Acts.
- The main villain faction what shows up around Act 2 basically gets one-shot whenever they show up, while I expected the grunts to get wasted for comedy purposes, the main bosses themselves are also jobbers so the hype and build-up of them is essentially wasted instantly: it says a lot that the human ceo villain has more presence and lasting effects than the actual forces of evil since the story goes to shit when he isn't involved, literally nobody else is a credible threat to replace him.
- Act 3 and onwards is usual Manwha nonsence of becoming so powerfull that nothing really matters anymore: multiple different coloured towers linked to other worlds exist mostly to be bribed by the Black Dragon family using the Mc's farming products for busted items to shill the MC, the gods are actively involved and have an attention span shorter than the lifespan of the average mayfly, and exsist mostly just to shill the MC and shove powers and items into him (it's not even the Farming gods who do this either), Basically everything bends over backwards for the MC and I stop enjoying the Manwha because him being a stupid idiot is no longer funny or engaging when he has powerups constantly shoved at him from all directions and still has a whole squad of OP animal friends from Act 1 who can nuke everything anyway
