Request for a finger sketch involving macros and micros :3

❤❤❤

Every month, Supporter tiers on my Subscribestar can request a 5 minute finger-painting sketch :3c

Guaranteed to be drawn on a mid-sized Android phone (by finger) in an open source painting app without layer support, unintuitive brush size controls, and with a completely broken fill tool! <3

Question…what app do you use to paint this and is it free?

It is free, it's the open source version of Draw on F-Droid: https://github.com/SimpleMobileTools/Simple-Draw

I would not recommend it :3 I don't use it because it's good; I downloaded it during a vacation when I didn't have a tablet to draw joke sketches, and have kept using it because I think it's funny :3

Most notably, the version I'm using does not have a working fill tool. If you zoom in on the canvas, the fill tool breaks. It also doesn't reliably load files, so I can't save anything and come back to it later, every picture needs to be drawn in a single session. Also the eraser tool can't scale size without zooming the canvas.

The lack of layers also means I can't sketch anything out, and I have to draw from the back to the front instead of from the front to the back. It's kind of painful to use X3

I keep using it for the same reason that some game devs use limited platforms like Pico - the limitations force me not to go overboard with my art, I can't spend hours on anything that I'm working on. There are likely better drawing apps out there, but I think it's funny and enjoyable to occasionally sit down with a program that I have to struggle with and try to churn out something that looks halfway decent in spite of that.

It's usable, but if you're looking for something to do drawing with on your phone, I would encourage trying to find a program with layer support at least.

I'm going to assume whom this was for and if it is I thank you.

I don't label the supporter sketches since I don't know if everypony requesting one wants me to use their usernames or not (and usually I don't know the corresponding usernames on other sites anyway :3).

But I'm guessing you are pawbably correct? And if so, you're very welcome! <3
