The night consumed the flat… The silence was interrupted by the sound of loud steps, inhuman, steps. The footsteps, accompanied by screeching metal and rotting wood, would chill anyone's skin. Louder… And louder… They stopped in the door to the living room. He grabbed his phone. With a spark of hope, he tried to contact someone. He knew that it was too late. All what he could do, was just accept his fate.
