Today was a peaceful, sunny day. Utterly boring in Dian’s opinion. There wasn’t much happening these days and her friend Rita was off searching for food. Although she should have been back by now, it wasn’t uncommon for her to take longer than necessary. Rita was easily distracted. Usually Dian didn’t mind it but today she would have appreciated some timeliness so she could at least have some company to do something, anything, with.


Just as she was checking her claws for the umpteenth time, she heard a quiet clang of metal. The sound was slowly coming closer. A devious grin crept onto Dian’s face. She knew exactly what the source of the sound was. Another brave soul come to confront the terrible dragon. Just the kind of entertainment she had been craving…
