The Dawn Sheep are a medium-sized species, though my wife stands at only about 4'10". They have remarkably poor self-preservation instincts at times. The Lykari keep them for their luxurious wool, which grows at an astounding rate—several feet within a single 36-hour daytime period. This growth continues seemingly indefinitely, often to the point where their wool drags across the floor behind them.

As herd animals, Dawn Sheep live in tightly-knit, highly social groups. They often experience depression when one of their companions goes missing (though Lily seems overjoyed when I digest other Dawn Sheep).

In the rare instances they need to defend themselves, they can cast Light Magic, using it either as beams of light for attack or as healing energy. (Lily, ever the little masochist, prefers to use it so she can endure the full effects of my stomach acid.)
