Holy shit.

I didn't think I'd actually finish this. But here it is: Part 5 of my Sytheros arc, Kira's Desire. God damn am I relieved that this is done! And not just because the final paragraph took an hour for me to come up with; the whole damn thing took over a year to write!

I won't bore you with the details, but this chapter went through so many rewrites that I honestly lost count. At one point it was seventy percent complete when I went "this is terrible", scrapped the entire draft and started from scratch. My perfectionism forces me to to make sure these things come out well enough to be enjoyed. I'm sure there's issues with this draft, but I'm satisfied with it.
