Mannnnn this comic was great ;_; RIP Don ofc, poor guy went through hell but it was all done so amazingly!

Zale seems really cool too - I felt like he's got this weird sort of deadly innocence to him. Rather than Sherry, who seems to be pretty aware that she's a bad person who's cruelly killing other people to the extent of chatting to them as they digest, Zale only ever saw poor Don as food and never seemed to care or even consider the indescribable horror of what he was casually putting someone through. The juxtaposition of him happily enjoying a bath while Don's lifeless body digested... I knew it was coming lmao, but it still hit hard ofc.

Really love his design, too! Out of curiosity - does he have eyes but they just aren't drawn, or is he eyeless and/or blind?

It definitely works well! Makes him look really cool and mysterious and harder to relate to, and I think you mentioned somewhere that his colours were sorta inspired by orcas so having unseen eyes fits with that.

Definitely curious to see where things are going with the new plot point in the next page, too! I'm hyped

Love how the end of his idle musings about the beautiful serene day he’s having and how much he is enjoying his bath and meal function as an unintended answer to the girl, presumably Kim’s, question
“Don…?”
“…a full Belly.”
Which is of course where the mass of meat formerly known as Don is, filling said belly out, and where he will remain until there is no longer enough of him left to do so.
And of course the fact that’s all Don amounts to, a full belly, to him just makes the whole affair so much more delightfully dehumanizing and erotic. No particular cruelty or sadism, but also no empathy, pity, or remorse whatsoever for the young, terrified human he abducted, ate alive, and brutally killed. It is not, however, that he felt nothing about consuming him. In fact he enjoyed doing this to him a great deal.
Not because of his pain and fear but because the sensation of eating him alive is more satisfying than killing him first. And that pleasure is immeasurably more important to him than Dom’s comfort as he is worked down his esophagus to be digested
Because Dom and humans at large are just food to him. Sure in the abstract he is aware that the young man in his gut is a sapient organism with a vivid personality, hopes and dreams for the future, and people who love him and will be devastated by his death. He simply does not care. He is human and humans are a staple in the diet of his kind. The only thing about Dom that matters to him is that he is made of meat that tastes good and feels good in his belly. As far as he is concerned the only reason Dom exists is for this moment.
To give him an enjoyably full belly as he gurgles away
