Come to think of it, it's a variant of a classic trap. ...Which is in turn the reason why all of the "Protection from (Alignment)" spells blocked charm. Ounce of prevention, and all that.

That is an interesting consideration. If people find themselves tempted to visit Tonalnan's body, they might reconsider after a quick cast of Protection from Good. If they're still tempted even after the cast, maybe they can try "Protection from Vorny" instead.

(Irahel would still be tempted even with a stacking x100 modifier.)

If I recall the spell right, it prevents *new* charms from being applied, and gives one chance to throw off one already in place. And this applies regardless of the alignment of the charm's source. It's actually only the AC bonus that cares about that.

If Lexa came across this situation, she would of course be using Protection from Evil before approaching. And Tonalnan would not need to feel insulted/no arguments would need to happen about alignment. Until things escalated.

It's not a reach to assume that predators might be evil, and fallen angels are a thing...

Alternatively, Tonalnan does take issue... because she made the jump to Pathfinder and demands Lexa challenges her in a more dynamic battle system. ;)

Well, this is going odd places. And here the tangent started from "Good golly, all these dryads and nymphs luring adventurers into early happily-ever-afters and getting in the way of deadly adventuring. No wonder they made the anti-charm rider on the protection spells not actually care much about alignment, by diggety."

If not Pathfinder, then what?
