Pie Bed
A Furside Tale by Misterebony
 
School had been long and exhausting, and the homework that little Mat had now seemed to take forever. He was faling asleep at his desk, more tired than ever before. That was hard for him, given how little he realy slept these days.
 
One week ago, he had volunteered to be a food pet for sale for a local charity. He said his good bye to his mom and dad, signed up, and was auctioned off. He wound up sold to a cute bunny woman with a daughter, who was estatic with her birthday present. Since then he has been snuggled, squeezed, fattened, pet, and kissed by the little bunny, whose name was Flops.
 
But tonight he was just so tired. He yawned as he finished the last math problem, laying his head on the big book.
 
"Awww, poor thing." A motherly voice said. It was Flops' mother, Anna. Like most bunny Furs she was shapely, but she always covered it with big house dresses and was more motherly than anything. She pet Mat gently. "Been rough all week hasn't it?"
 
Mat nodded. "Yeah, and I just can't get comfortable in that bed." He pointed to his bed, which was so soft he sunk in it. Too soft really, and with not nearly enough warmth. Anna pondered for a moment then had a solution.
 
"Well, I AM doing some baking, and tomorrow is Saturday... so how about we make you a special bed?"
 
The boy tilted his head. "What kind of special bed?"
 
Anna giggled. "A pie bed."

In the kitchen, Anna was rolling out the dough... er... bottom sheet for Mat's bed. She was waiting for him to come out of the pantry with his pjs on. When he did, Anna giggled a little.
 
She made them herself, and they fit perfectly. But they were not made of cotton or wool. Rather, they were made of cinnamon and sugar-spiced dough, and looked like a lumpy set of footed pajamas. He stood there smiling, liking the feel of the dough on his skin, wearing nothing but apple undies* underneath.
 
"Awwwwwwww... you look so cute!" Anna said, helping Mat up to the counter. He stretched again, fighting to stay awake. "Relax dear. All I have to do is lay you in your bed, then you can sleep."
 
"I hope so." Mat said, watching as the dough was rolled out. It was Mat-sized, maybe a bit bigger, neccessary for a big pie pan. And out that came, easily big enough for Mat to lie down in and get comfortable. It was square, not round, and had an indent on one side. Clearly this pan was meant for this very process.
 
"Alright dear." Anna said as the crust was put in, spices added to it. "Climb on in, and rest your head on the raised side."
 
Mat did so, smiling and sighing as he got in, the right blend of softness and firmness. The bunched up dough under his head made for a nice pillow, and he was relaxed instantly.
 
"Now, I leave it to you." She said. "Normally I would make you into a pot pie, but since we already sweetened you up, what kind of filling should we have? Apple, berry, cherry, or carrot?"
 
Mat smiled. "Berry please. I love your berry tarts."
 
"Why thank you dear!" Anan said, giving him a kiss on his forehead. She got out fresh blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries, chopping them up in a big bowl and adding a few walnuts. The fruity, juicy mixture was then heated slightly, until there was a little steam coming from it. Then into the pie bed it went, Mat moaning in delight at how nice and warm it was.
 
"You like it huh?" Anna asked. Mat nodded, snuggling in and smiling, yawning some. "Well, your work is already done. Go ahead and go to sleep when you can. All I have to to is tuck in a nice thick top crust around you, and put you in the oven to bake all night."
 
"All night?" Mat asked curiously, as she began to roll out a thick top crust.
 
"A low and slow heat will bake the pie nicely by morning. A tatsy boy pie for breakfast is great way to satart a Saturday. Besdies, it will allow you to relax in my warm oven." Anna tucked the crust in, kissing him again. For the untrained the pan could now pas as any other bed. "There, ready to bake."
 
"Wow... it's so comfortable..." Mat said, trying to fight sleep, but losing. He stayed awake long enough to see Anna open the oven and, with some effort, shove the boy pie in. Soon mat was bathed in a warm, gentle glow as the oven got warm, but not hot. He wa sbaking up to be a yummy pie.
 
"Night." Anna said through the window. Mat moughed goodnight back, but was asleep before he spoke a word, surrounded by comfort.

By the time he awoke the next morning, his legs and one arm were gone, Flops dining on the other, her cute face messy, her belly round and plump.
 
"Hi cutie!" She said, giving him a messy kiss. "You sure do make a deeeeeeeelicious breakfast!"
 
Mat giggled. He was roasty toasy now, unable to move, but warm as could be. He was a pie, and he liked it.
 
"It was so wonderful... warm and soft and..."
 
"hush mat!" Flops said with another kiss. "Your food now, so lay still while I gobble you up!" She took another big bite of the pie, chewing messily, rubbing her belly. "Yum yum YUUUUMMMM! I knew it was the right idea to feed you all those cream puffs! Your so soft and sweet!"
 
Mat laughed a little, relaxing as he was gobbled up to be reformed. He wondered how else he could be cooked all night that would make for a comfortable bed. He slipped back to sleep thinking that, even as his chest wa snext to go.
 
 
GULP! YUMMY!
