A miniature of Toothless! ^_^
Some of the clay details aren't very good since I had a lot of trouble with clay! >_< (especially cause the figurine was so small and I didn't have proper tools to sculpt a miniature of that size! :shakefish: Now I bought a proper sculpting kit so I hope the figurines will only get better from now on!)
Hope you like it! :D

Thank you, glad you like it! :D <3 There was a lot of "making-up-thing-on-the-spot" since I had no proper references for his tail! :(

zanten may i suggest
Sculpy,
Its liek clay however it's more like a moldable plastic bake resin. jsut warm it up a little Say hand temprature, shape it, and bake it when your done.

yeah, Sculpey is quite good, but it looks more like a modeling clay than a sculpture, if without colouring it fully(or maybe it's only with blue colour?). Cernit is nice-looking(there are blocks with natural patterns like stone), but it's very hard to model something from it. Fimo feels better to me, it looks good and is quite soft for small details.
and yeah, i don't have any sticks too, but i'm using old instruments for nail care instead((((=
they're not sharp enough to do the job they're originally suited, but they're still very good for modeling XD

Unfortunately, there's no Sculpy in the place where I live... ._. (nor in the entire country for that matter).
My mistake is that I look at tutorials for Sculpy when I have "Beolin" - domestic polymer clay to cope with! CX

mail order?
Posted by zanten 13 years ago Report
That's a problem - I can do it only via some friend in another country.... but it means it has to buy it and ship it to me.... ._. Which is just silly. Everything else is just too damn expensive!
Posted by Ursa 13 years ago Report
nice colouring!^^
is it fimo or some other polymer clay?
Posted by zanten 13 years ago Report
Fimo is too expensive for me! ._.
I tried using Cernit, but it gets too soft after a really short period of time, so I don't like it. This is "Beolin" - domestic polymer clay. (it's the cheapest thing around)

(Fuck i typed a whole story XD)
cheap polymer clay is sometimes good, for me other sorts then "Сонет" are freaking expensive, but i do buy them sometimes if i want to make something special(and have moneyXD ) i don't know about "Beolin"(seems that it's some Serbian distributor, like "Сонет" is Russian) but i know for "Сонет" that this polymer clay is very sensitive if baking(too thin parts will smooth or just become awry), and it can crackle, but i didn't see any other disadvantages. sculpting kit is helpful, and i believe that every polymer clay (even the cheapest) is baking on 130C from 5 minutes(for bids or other small stuff) to 30 min for pretty big and thick things (though you should watch the figurine while baking to prevent burning if you're doubtful about the time, but normally 30 minutes are the guarantee)
for making this shit less softer it's useful to cool it(TXS CAP!(((= ) or model parts instead of whole figurine, then place parts together(maybe even like action figure, but you need to calculate all parts's connection places and probably use some sort of carcass(if baking with carcass, use wooden or any other that won't cause the model to crack and wouldn't melt with such a temperature, or any if you will glue parts to it) but that's another story.((((=

(lol, so I saw XD)
Here, the prices are HORRIBLE - Beolin is like 10 times cheaper than Fimo and 3 times cheaper than Cernit! Plus, I need a lot of materials and little packages simply can't do! (Yes, Beolin is a Serbian, domestic polymer clay)
I knew most of the things that you mentioned, but, for example, instead of cooling the figure (if it's too soft) I leave it be for a day or two - that makes me enough time to work on other things, lol! But yeah, seems as a nice tip, especially if you need a figure asap!
Thanx! (btw, I model everything with a "carcass", else it breaks apart and cracks more)
Posted by Ursa 13 years ago Report
omfg now i saw those quotes and now i know that carcass is apparently not the word for that matter.(((= i recall some hardcore songs and groups with this title and now i feel like ^vvv^''''
but i think that cooling unbaked models in the fridge is not a good idea(if anything), so maybe better cool them with something cold attached(like a bag with cold water or ice, perhaps. i just think it could be useful, i don't know how it will appear in real.XD
omg, if it breaks so much, this thing is even worse then "Сонет".../=

Never mind, I understood it! :3
Well, it breaks if it's thin and doesn't have a "carcass". :C

Maybe you could sell the figures on Ebay or make an online shop - i am sure that the profit could pay for the materials to make them. Imagine a Vore Figurine online shop with clay models, sculpting kits, metal figurines for painting. It could have Deamoneses, Succubus, Nekos, Snakes, snake women e.c.t and other vore characters. Maybe even vore coloring books - i am sure people would pay for the products and the products would beat an Airfix kit any day. I would love to see a vore shop out there on the market!

Pffffttttt~ You're saying that to me?! I would LOVE to see one for that matter! :D A shop would be difficult to make over here.... :C We'll see....
Posted by Ursa 13 years ago Report
it's a good idea, since i have some vore dolls in process and a few comics. it can be interesting.^^
i can make the site, though if the idea will not die and someone except myself will be interested in it.
Posted by zanten 13 years ago Report
It would be fun to make a site with all the artists who are interested in selling their work. :3 I wanted to create vore themed dresses, both for predator and prey (but they turned out to be more s/m CX)plus prints, badges and figurines. Dolls seem awesome! 8D

if we'll find other artists who want to participate, we need to think through everything and know what is what. if we'll come to something in the end, i can make site's design and write scripts and so on. need other artists and stuff, and money for site's hosting anyway.
