Mary-Rose had attended many parties in her time. She had even thrown some from time to time that many considered to be one of their favourite experiences. However, this time she was not hosting, she was attending. The reason for the party evaded her, some dull charity expo/celebration/hootenanny it mattered not. Having known it was a costume party beforehand, Mary-Rose arrived dressed to kill, literally. She had picked out an executioner's robe. The thing was long, dark and stained with fake blood. Those in the know had two reactions when they saw Mary-Rose. They either chuckled ironically, or they gave a dark shiver.

As time went on the Hippo began to wonder if she was going to meet anyone that would satisfy her stomach. She had conversed with several different but ultimately boring CEO's and politician's. At breaking point, she felt a tug to her robe and turned to see him. Looking down at the boy, she noticed he was dressed as a bat, complete with ears and paws.
