Unlike some of the other... associates that she knew, Vempyremon had always felt safe, warm and most importantly happy when she was with Asthma. Vempyremon, along with others liked to affectionately call Asthma by his other name; Big Red. While he might look like some brutish demonic thug that would like to rip people apart, he actually had a heart bigger than most. He was a gentle giant and would much rather play his own version of hide n' seek than hurt anyone.

This was no more evident than now, Asthma was unique in the fact that, well... He was very good at storing things. Inside of him. Logic told him that if something needed to be protected then there was no safer place other than inside of his body. Big Red loved to keep people close, he almost acted in a motherly way towards those he incubated.

Whenever things got too stressful or dangerous for Vempyremon she liked nothing more than to pay a visit to her friend and relax with him, playing with his huge belly. It was pleasant for the both of them after all. Yes, while she was with Big Red, there was no Kain hunting her down, she left all of the drama behind and she was much better for it.
