I had a sudden burst of genius last night and thought to myself, "Boy a vore tabletop RPG would be fun!" So after about seven solid hours of work (very hungry now that I think about it) I present to you the rule set I developed. Enjoy!
A PDF version is available here on mega: https://mega.co.nz/#!9ZIBhAZQ!T6XzyMsUsFM_ZnvsumqUrD02hYUyjIM0KWmSV0BpOPk
EDIT: It really doesn't look that good on this site. Text formatting doesn't seem to work that well here. I recommend downloading it before you try to view it.

Very nice job! If I had some other people to play with, I would!

I'm putting together a test game online for play via instant message. If you are interested, just pop me a PM, and I'll contact you once I have enough people to start.

Um, just wondering, can any of the base stats be 0?
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
Also, I would recomend the ability to hold an off-hand item like a shield, which would boost resilience, or a switch blade, which boost cunning or speed or stealth. Other item's could be an orb, which boost awareness, or an gauntlet which boost chance to crit, but also boost chance to miss. Does that make sense?

Perfect sense. I chose the few weapons I did for simplicity, but I can easily add more to the coming versions. I intend to add more races as well, so if there is anything you want to see there, let me know.

I know I am late, but may I offer some thoughts. First off perks. Every few levels give a special ability that does something, starting at level one. Also, factor in digestion. I was thinking of adding a choice of where the the prey goes on you amd what that affects. Also, charisma. How can you forget charisma.
If your still doing the group, I woukd love to join so much!

That is fine. They can even go into negative, but then you would be taking a penalty to your roll instead of a bonus. A zero stat would just give you the value of the role and nothing else.
Posted by darksign13 10 years ago Report
Bare in mind though that some stats at zero leave you in deep water. A zero speed means you always go last and cant move during combat. Zero power means you can't fight or vore, and zero resistance means you would take every attack for full damage and would be vored very easily. The other 3 stats, while not essential for combat, can be very helpful, especially if you are at a physical disadvantage.

Ok, I have my character done.
Title: Young Sub Merfolk Prey
Base Stats
PWR: 4
RSL: 3
SPD: 4
CUN: 0
STH: 0
AWR: 4
After title effects
PWR: 3
RSL: 7
SPD: 5
CUN: -3
STH: -1
AER: 7
Gear
Hand Axe +2 attack, -1 speed
Heavy Armor +4 resilience, -3 speed, -2 stealth
After Gear effects
PWR: 3 (+2 attack)
RSL: 11
SPD: 1
CUN: -3
STH: -3
AER: 7
HP: 50 or 70 (Does gear boost HP stat?)
What do you think?
Posted by darksign13 10 years ago Report
No HP isn't boosted by gear stat. Your gear only effects your attack and defense, but thinking about it, I worded it that armor directly raises your resilience. I'll have to change it for the next version.
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
So, it's 50, ok. Also, on the Dragon race, make it defense boost from heavy armor, ok?
Posted by darksign13 10 years ago Report
That works, but in that case it's unbalanced. If it's just a defense boost, there are no need for restrictions at all.
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
Then lose the restrictions.
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
Also, I came up a race. Dragon
+1 PWR
+2 RSL
Strong fighters with fire and their bare fists, they get + 2 to attack when unarmed, or using fist/claw weapons. Also able to handle heavy armor very well, they get +2 RSL when wearing them. However, due to their over confidence, they are unable to have a base stat in CUN, STE, or AWR above 2.
What do you think?
Posted by darksign13 10 years ago Report
Not bad. I'd say it would be fine to lose CUN from the list of restrictions, though. Overconfidence doesn't necessarily lead to stupidity, and cutting off 3 out of the 6 base stats like that doesn't lend well to build options. I would also specify dragon type. Most people think of fire dragons when you say dragon, but this is more of an iron dragon or the like. You made it though, so you choose.

Then forget the restrictions all together, and they are primal dragons.
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
By the way, I made a character involving the primal dragon race. Also, no restrictions on it.
Young Sub- Primal Dragon
Predator
Base stat's
PWR: 5
RSL: 5
SPD: 5
CUN: 0
STH: 0
AWR: 5
After Title Changes
PWR: 5
RSL: 10
SPD: 6
CUN: -3
STL: -1
AWR: 6
Weapon: Unarmed
Armor: Heavy Armor
Stats after gear effects
PWR: 5 (+2 attack)
RSL: 10 (+6 defense)
SPD: 3
CUN: -3
STL: -3
AWR: 6
HP: 75

I like this so far, not bad at all.
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
Have you made a character?
Posted by Zond 10 years ago Report
here is definitely a lack of centaurs
Posted by AuraDrak 10 years ago Report
Well, what sort of stat's would you give the centaur race?
Posted by darksign13 10 years ago Report
Centaur is one of the races I have slated for the next version.
Posted by Zond 10 years ago Report
Well hello how are you progressing with the project?
Posted by Flatheaddog 8 years ago Report
Anyone wamt to try it with me?
Posted by darksign13 8 years ago Report
Unfortunately, I think it has already fallen by the wayside. I haven't had the time to keep up on it as I had hoped to, so it has been sitting here, forgotten. If you really want to play it though, I'd suggest making a topic in the forum for it. As you can see, no one's really taken a second look at it here for over a year now.
Posted by Flatheaddog 8 years ago Report
Well, do you mind if i pick it up and do some junk with it, make a sort of second version?
Posted by darksign13 8 years ago Report
Not at all. Just leave my name in the credits and I'll have no problem with it.

Radical

Sorry, I started making my own system as I thought you had stopped it if you don't mind. At this point of where I am in it, there's a lot of stats that play similar in what I'm putting together and that I read what you are doing.
Posted by darksign13 5 years ago Report
It's fine, I haven't touched this in years. This rule set was only ever intended to be a simple, customizable guideline, so it wouldn't surprise me if yours had some similarities. Don't worry about it too much.
Posted by iasiney 5 years ago Report
Ok. Cool. That's a relief. Didn't want to make people mad.

This is a good guide, though I wish there was a beastiary - something for the VM to conjure up I guess. I roleplay with someone who likes to play D&D so I might have to bring this up with him.
Just gonna throw in my own two cents, Wouldn't it make sense to have some resistances apply when the prey is digesting in the stomach? The acids still have to burn through clothing and armor before they can eat away at skin. That's just my thoughts at least.
Posted by darksign13 7 years ago Report
It does make sense, but--as I've mentioned previously--this is really intended to serve as a bare bones system. As a rule of thumb, I didn't include anything that was part of a standard tabletop system anymore than I had too. The idea being: if such complexities were a necessity the system would be easier to integrate with a standard rpg system.
Also, I wrote this in an overcaffeinated fury over the course of about 4 hours and haven't messed with it since. I'll admit it gets a little sloppy, but I don't really have the time in my life to get too serious about this.
