So who remembers Lorwyn from MtG? The elves there were as obsessed with their own beauty as they were with everyone else's "ugliness". In this scenario, an Imperious Perfect shows some "charity" towards a group of boggarts by allowing them to become part of something truly beautiful. A Masked Admirer oversees the whole affair, 'cause it's what they do.
Tried a new style (thanks, Binary Tool). My art tends to be bit sloppy, so doing a style that forces me to be a little more precise seemed like a good idea.
(Imperious Perfect, Masked Admirer and some Boggarts from Magic: The Gathering)

Isn't the Binary tool great? I have been using it recently as well. What brush do you normally use?
Posted by BronzeBanana 9 years ago Report
Yeah, I really prefer its crudeness over the smoothness of, say, an inking tool.
I never stick too long with any one brush, since I always try to adjust them to my needs and I haven't found a "perfect" one yet. Most of the time, I have 2 or 3 brushes that I use, but they're usually pretty basic.

I too have yet to find "my" brush, but then again I really need to start experimenting more. This image is giving me some more ideas on how to use the binary brush though, so thanks for that. =)

I think the only brush that I'll ever stay faithful to is my Binary Tool, but that's because it barely has any options to begin with. :P

What do you use as an eraser for the binary? I can't seem to get the normal eraser to get the same clean lines...

Yeah, the normal eraser is no good for this. You can either check the little box that says something like "Excange Normal/Transparent Color" next to the Primary/Secondary Color boxes to turn the tool you're currently using into an eraser or create a new Binary Tool, set its Opacity to 0 and use that like you would use an eraser.

Lore/10
Way to do something somewhat obscure from MtG. Lorwyn was a great block. Innistrad vore when?

I wasn't heavily invested in MtG when Innistrad came out, though I did like the gothic atmosphere.

MTG stuff is such a rarity to find, for some reason. Great work! There are a bunch of good Lorwyn-elf card in the newest expansion too, btw. Really capture the flavor.

I didn't actually read anything about Origins until now. Some of those new elves look really fun for casual play.

Daww, such a cute Imperious! What I'd give to see her having digested them down to a lil tummy -unpopular lil belly preference- ...Heh, also, I fail my MtG lore, I read Lorwyn and think "Llanowar" elves.

Well, almost every elf deck has 8 of them (considering Fyndhorn Elves are basically the same thing), so it's not unusual to think of them when you think of elves.
