yes, it's true, I made a female predator! ... aaaaand she's weird looking, homicidal, crazy, and hardly feminine at all, immediately destroying any potential appeal she might have had to the average site-goer. BUT NOT FOR ME, APPARENTLY, BECAUSE CREEPY IS ALWAYS HOT IF YOUR NAME IS CERU
oh, yeah, and she's a rock, because I'm still drawing nothing but rocks for you people. her name is Dry Creek Turquoise ("DC" or "Creek", usually), and her gemstone got wrecked to hell, so she's... more than a little bit unhinged. she's actually missing a small piece of her Gem, which pretty much equates to "missing a small piece of her soul" for one of her kind, and the desire to be whole again has driven her mad. in her desperation, she breaks other Gems and tries to fit their shards in the hole where her own shard used to be... and sometimes she eats them, because while eating them can't fix her problem, it does make her feel more 'complete' for a little while, and a temporary solution is often the best she can get.
unfortunately, Creek legitimately has a hard time being a predator because her magical abilities get in the way of everything forever. she can't control them very well due to her damaged state, and her power is "drought"-- so she gradually sucks the moisture out of everything within a few inches of her, including the moisture in her own body. as a result, she has no saliva, tears, blood, sweat, stomach acid, or anything like that; she can still produce those things if she drinks a bunch of water, but they evaporate within a matter of minutes. basically, she really WANTS to eat things and feel better, but it's super hard to swallow stuff without any drool, especially when your neck is as thin as a god damn toothpick.
for the record, yes, I know that having no saliva probably kills whatever remaining vorish attractiveness this character might have had. I am incredibly weird and find the idea of it fascinating (as well as the idea of her having trouble eating; I think that's really hot and I have no idea why). but hey, my tastes have always been fairly odd in places. that never changed; creepy and unorthodox traits appeal to me for girls just as much they do for guys. so I'll just be over here in the corner, making strange characters for my own amusement. :'D

Actually I find that sort of desperation factor appealing X3 I mean even if she does manage to scarf something down she has difficulty digesting something or someone for lack of fluids...idk the word raw keeps popping in my head and I like it! ^w^ b
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
That's a good word for describing it, yeah! She is an incredibly determined person when it boils down to things-- hence why she even attempts to eat people in the first place despite how painful and difficult is for her. She'll do literally anything, more or less, if it will help her feel even the slightest bit more 'whole'; morality is of no consequence. She's not sadistic, just... desperate, as you said. I'm happy to hear someone else likes that sort of thing!!

Awww, she looks badass! =D
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Thank you! I mean, you're right in that she's kind of a force to be reckoned with-- at least, in terms of her powers and her strength of will. She's not always a violent or intimidating person, though. Or, well, she tries not to be; she's rather awkward and bashful when she's not trying to kill someone, but being 7 and a half feet tall and covered in eerie cracks tends to make her 'intimidating' by default, sadly ;v;

D'awww, I like the Awkward/bashful idea. X3

People have actually told me that they think she's cute (because of her personality and mannerisms, I think, though someone said she was 'tragically beautiful'), and have expressed a desire to fix her or make her happy... which is heartwarming to me, even though it wasn't my intent when making the character. I do like getting to explore both sides of her, though!

Definitely can't wait to see more of her! =D

Hey, she looks pretty cool! I love her odd skin texture appearance. Like dry, cracked stone. Nice description too, the madness and her personality are appealing. The difficulty swallowing things is a nice touch too, the struggle is sexy.

I've actually written an OBSCENE amount of backstory and descriptive bullshit about DC, because I'm very fond of her as a character, so there's way more to her than what I wrote here; it's more of a summary than anything, since if I included everything, it'd be like 5 pages long and no one would ever read it. Thanks, though!! Her skin is a pain to draw despite the rest of her design being easy for me, but her whole concept would be lost if she didn't have the cracks. Broken stone is actually exactly how it feels to the touch, as well-- smooth like marble or porcelain, but hard like, well, like a rock.
It makes me happy to see other people taking any interest in her and sharing my opinions about things that make her potentially attractive... I didn't really expect to find many people who would see it the same way I do, but I'm glad that there are some of you who have already proven me wrong! ;V;

Pffft, I'd read it a few times, I'd imagine.

Damn..it remind me of imvu broken doll body..but i love this body like this. XD she look dying like need the water or something. XD
She look really awesome !!
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Yeah, that comparison makes a lot of sense. I often describe her skin being "like porcelain"-- so in a lot of ways she resembles a creepy, broken doll, yes. And, well... she pretty much IS always horrendously thirsty, due to the absence of water in her body. It does look a little like she's panting, though, now that you mention it! I intended it more as her feeling kind of awkward as someone attempts to look in her mouth, but your interpretation makes perfect sense, all things considered. Thanks! :>

Yeah! XD you're welcome. ^^

The complexity and background of a character is what makes them "appealing" to me rather then the fact that they look good or something similar. So even if her dark and twisted story in some ways make her "unsuitable" for Vore that just makes her more interesting to me. I often times ask myself if i made a character too dark or depressing for anyone to like them (none of them is posted here yet). Anyway I really like the idea of this lady.:)

I tend to make characters for their, well, character first, and vore/fetish material second. That isn't to say that I don't take vore into consideration when making them-- because I usually do, at least with the characters I post art of on this site. But I can't have fun drawing or writing about a character if they don't have a personality and story that I enjoy. I REALLY loved coming up with everything I've done for DC, so even if not a lot of people think she's 'hot', I'm still happy that I made her. Thank you so much! <3

Oh wow... 0_0
Can't wait to how she turns out later on... ^u^;
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Turns out later on? What do you mean by that?
Posted by TinyHero 9 years ago Report
Sorry for the late reply, Internet was down... ^^;
When I meant turn out later on, I meant that, is there going to be a full drawing of the character... ^u^;
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
There is a link to one in the description! \o/ So yeah, it's already been done-- just click on where I wrote her name.
Posted by TinyHero 9 years ago Report
Oh... I didn't notice it... thanks ^u^

And she swallows with a clunk.
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
A clunk? I'm actually not sure WHAT sound it would make, now that you mention it... probably something really strained and uncomfortable? I hadn't thought about it that much. xD
Posted by vasp 9 years ago Report
Well, I think she looks pretty, so there! Nyuuuuh ;P
I love all the details you put into her, in both the physical and mental aspects to her! I really like the idea of her absolute dryness, lots of potential for hijinks there, not to mention its uniqueness in general.
Now I'm stuck imagining her interactions with Citrine, Peridot, and the lovely Sardonyx QoQ
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
;V; I'm glad!! I made her to be kind of creepy-yet-pretty at the same time-- according to my own standards, anyway. I've thought rather extensively about how vore with her would be different than normal as a result of her dry insides... I think it'd be uncomfortable for her as well as her victims in some ways, but maybe not so bad in others? It's something I enjoy exploring and would love to write about in terms of its possibilities. At the very least, I don't believe I've seen it done before in any recent memory, though I doubt I'm the first person to think of it.
Her interactions with other Gems are... variable, really. She doesn't shatter every Gem she encounters; she decides whether or not they have 'potential' to give her the missing piece she needs based on her own weird sense of judgment-- which takes into account whether their gemstone resembles her own in any way (color, texture, etc), but is otherwise kind of random. She wouldn't dare mess with a fusion like Sardonyx, though. Her powers are strong, but she still knows when she's outmatched. :'>
Posted by vasp 9 years ago Report
For her it might not be too bad once she's actually gotten them down, especially if they're sweating a lot from fear and such. For her prey it might feel like being inside a leather chair, unless her cracked porcelain texture extends to her insides as well... Now that would be a unique experience o.0
I kinda just figured she'd eat Citrine because Citrine is delicious, while becoming immediately bashful if she ever saw Sardonyx (who'd probably be wanting her snack back). As for Peridot... If Creek liked the look of her, I don't think Peridot's heli-fingers would ever catch a break.
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Yeah, once she's managed them down, it actually tends to feel pleasant to her and offers her some psychological relief-- so the struggle is worth all the effort, in her opinion. Her mouth and throat are kind of soft and vaguely sticky (as though there used to be saliva in there, but it's all been siphoned away), but the inside of her stomach is surprisingly rough to the touch. Since it can't produce acid most of the time, it compensates by using friction and force, so that the constant churning of the walls gradually grinds its contents into mush. It's... kind of brutal. She'll usually drink at least SOME water to help it along, but it isn't much of a mercy; anyone stuck down there will be in for an extremely hellish and prolonged experience (unless they're very durable, in which case her stomach won't be able to process them well and they'll just be stuck in there).
She would totally eat Citrine, without a doubt! And you're not too far off with Sardonyx, either; she never attacks fusions since she wants to NOT die, and it's a little intimidating to be in the presence of someone that huge and powerful, so she'd probably be very shy. I don't THINK she'd target Peridot? That may just be because I prefer Peridot as a predator (and I wouldn't want her to die in general; Creek doesn't always eat her victims, but she does tend to kill in order to get Gem shards), but her gemstone isn't even close to the right color to match hers... the thought of her endlessly helicoptering away from Creek is a pretty entertaining thought, though. xD
Posted by vasp 9 years ago Report
Ah I see, pretty fitting in one case, and eternal entrapment in the other. I see no downside to this, yes.
I was more going for she'd probably be shy around Sardonyx because it is of course the lovely Sardonyx rather than how powerful she is, but that works too. As for Peridot, she's basically a robot so I imagine she'd be fine if Creek ever did eat her.
Huh, just realized she's basically the opposite of Lapis in size and ability, but they're actually pretty similar in other ways... She'd probably try to kill and/or eat Lapis, wouldn't she?
I must read Creek's five page + backstory and stuff, I need mooooore. MOOOOAR! (I'm terrible, I know)
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Okay, yeah, part of the reason she might react to Sardonyx like that is because Sar is HOT. No one can possibly deny that. It is fact. Her being amazingly strong just makes it worse. Or better? Let's go with that. :I
And, well, can anyone REALLY be fine if Creek eats them? I don't think it'd be a fun experience, even if she can't digest you. Either way, though, I still do not like thinking about Peridot as prey, sorry. I'm not always picky about characters being in certain roles, but when it comes to my fancharacter crushes... I'm only happy imagining them as predators. So I'm just going to say she wouldn't go after someone like her; Peridot being at least partially inorganic would likely be a deterrent, in all seriousness.
As for Lapis... that would be a really interesting interaction, because yes, they're kind of exact opposites in terms of their powers. I think she WOULDN'T kill Lapis, because Lapis has control over water-- and for Creek, even though her body evaporates any water that touches it after a few seconds of contact, being drenched still feels REALLY nice. Prolonged exposure to water can temporarily return her skin to a soft, 'normal' texture (though it can't get rid of the cracks, since nothing really can), allow her to produce saliva and the like, and quench what is otherwise a permanent thirst, all of which she sincerely appreciates. So if she could befriend Lapis, she could maybe convince her to just stick her in a bubble of magical water or something like that for a while, or at the very least pour some on her! She might, however, be a little envious of Lapis's abilities, since she'd love to have powers like those instead of the ones she's stuck with.
Posted by Bright 9 years ago Report
So being swallowed by her is like being rubbed by sandpaper or grinded against dry rock?
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Yeah, pretty much! At least it is once you get to her stomach. Her mouth and throat aren't quite so rugged or uncomfortable, but... yeaaah, it's not a fun time in there regardless.
Posted by jackson22222 9 years ago Report
Interesting. Thinking of her not being able to produce stomach acid, makes me think of her eventually getting full of shards and pooffed gems, and still then not even being able to eat to get a temporary solution, making her even more desperate. Eventually she might just take them all out and go on a rampage to fill herself up again.
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
She probably does end up having less-digestible things build up inside her over time. The feeling of having something in there is what comforts her, so I doubt she actually minds it? ... Until there are too many shards and they start poking painfully into the walls of her stomach, at which point it becomes something of a problem. She'd be more likely to drink water for a while in an attempt to let her body make acid and digest them, rather than trying to force them back up-- since with her really thin neck, that'd probably be a horrendously bad idea.
... And yeah, then she'd probably want to go kill a bunch more Gems out of desperation since she'd feel more 'empty' than ever, hoping that she'll find the right shaped shard this time, but even if she doesn't, at least she can eat them again and try to feel better for a while... it's a sad, endless cycle, really.

Oooooh I cant wait to see her gobble up some cuties xD imagining their terrified faces xD eeep! keep it up Cerulesta!!!!
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
I'm actually in the process of doing a page of doodles of her, so you'll likely get to see exactly that! Getting eaten by her really isn't something anyone should be looking forward to, and given her physical appearance, I've no doubt that whoever I draw (coughcitrinecough) will be sufficiently mortified. >v>
Posted by artimus261 9 years ago Report
hehe with her being the way she is she might just put her prey in a glass to drink ;)
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
... that's actually a legit really good idea, damn! I can't believe I didn't think of that. I've thought of her drinking water before or after her prey, or taking a sip to help wash them down, but putting them in the glass itself really appeals to me for some reason. Thanks for the suggestion! <3
Posted by artimus261 9 years ago Report
Hey, I aim to please :) just imagining the prey try to swim against the force of the drink or hanging onto the glass xD rly cant wait to see more of her! She's scary and hot and scary hot xD
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Pffffff! If she is thrown in a lake, yes, the lake will very gradually dry up. Being exposed to a lot of moisture will help her body be less cracked and dry for a little while, but other than that, it won't actually cause any major changes. Much as her growing to massive size when saturated with water would be pretty hilarious. ... And maybe terrifying. >>;
Posted by Ruler101 9 years ago Report
You know, I'm sure finding that finding all those bubbled gems in the temple would give her some reprieve. I mean, better to try to eat some already far gone gems than a fully formed one.
But for real, this is actually a pretty interesting character. Her unkempt hair really, really works for me for some reason. Maybe it helps make her look... Well, not DERANGED, but certainly a little less than stable.
The concept itself is pretty interesting, as I've always liked the idea of a character who's power is sucking away moisture. It's such a terrifying power, but it doesn't really come up much in fiction. Combined with Vore, it's pretty good potential for a desperate, tragic character.
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
If she found an entire room full of bubbled gems, I think the poor girl would probably lose herself in excitement. ;v;
Thank you so much for your compliments! She may be kind of a niche character, but I'm very fond of her. I like the way her hair turned out, I wanted it to look... 'feathery', I suppose is a good way to phrase it? It's nonsensical-looking and ignores gravity, and while I feel like it suits her, you're the first one who's really stated that it adds to her unhinged appearance. So I appreciate that! It makes me think that it was a good stylistic choice after all. :>
Posted by Ruler101 9 years ago Report
With everything she seems to have gone through, I think she deserves it.
It's certainly no problem at all. Her entire design fascinates me more than pretty much any gem OC I've seen. And feathery, yes that works very well.
I do feel like asking. Is her missing a tooth another sign of her being 'broken' (it really does make her look like she's been through physical hell as well as mental) or did it just sort of happen while designing her?
Posted by Cerulesta 9 years ago Report
Wow, seriously? *V* Thank you!! That... that really makes me feel special.
Her missing tooth was initially meant as something that came along with her being shattered, but it actually ended up as part of her whole character design-- as in, it's something she had even before she was broken in the first place. I like mouth-related quirks a lot; the missing tooth always struck me as kind of sad and cute, and it's a fairly distinguishing feature, so I can't really imagine her without it.
Posted by Ruler101 9 years ago Report
Don't have to thank me at all. :3
Ah, so I'm at least partially right, that's good to know. Sometimes I over analyze stuff, which is rather ironic since I'm crap at actually picking up symbolism. Figured I might as well just ask.
And, since I forgot to say before, I find her... Cute isn't QUITE the word, but it's the closest. Cute in a sad way, I suppose.
Posted by ImmortalNutcase 6 years ago Report
I find this character appealing and would love to see more of her. I actually have had my own cracked character for a while now.
