I sort of imagined it as a kind of sacrificial pit, where these amulets keep girls in a hypnotized daze while they're devoured.

Also, it was noted the Naga has an appearance VERY similar to Sonier's Reina. It wasn't consciously intentional, but when I thought of naga with dark makeup around their eyes, I may have drawn on that subconsciously! I wanted to put that out there.

I like when pred hypntoizes prey before swallowing her. And it's even better when prey "wakes up" and realizes in what situation she is in.
