Why yes I did make that pun.
Photo for now; I will scan the doodle formally when I get home in a few days.
I, being typical trash, fell in love with Liquir as soon as I saw him. Right now he has no defined personality, but I like to imagine him as a very experienced, mature God of Destruction. He doesn't threaten to blow up worlds to get what he wants, he only destroys things for good reason, etc. Universe 8 is one of the most prosperous realities because of his wise judgment.
When not carrying out his duties as a God, Liquir is fairly easygoing and enjoys life's pleasures. While visiting other universes, he prefers to go plainclothes and act as if he is just an ordinary person, leaving countless people oblivious to his true nature; he even goes so far as to let people who know his identity eschew the formal "Lord" title when he's not on the job (while still expecting basic courtesy, of course). He also has a taste for the arts over raw strength, given there are very few beings in existence who can match his power. Food, culture, sex, he indulges in it all when he's off the clock (and often on).
He's a very amorous type, usually having several lovers at any given time, valuing them for their personality and talents instead of their power. One of these lovers was Beerus himself, back when he first became a God, though Liquir and Beerus had to end their relationship due to the need for each to stay in a separate universe most of the time. Liquir still harbors feelings for "Beery," relishing the chance to embarrass him in front of everyone in Universe 7, though he is quite serious when needed and is naturally disappointed in how poor of a job the feline he fell in love with has done as Universe 7's God of Destruction.
Given his immortality (to say nothing of his occupation), it's not too surprising he'd have to deal with loss. And that brings us to the subject here: once his partners have begun to age, he consumes them so that he may absorb them into his being. They don't give him much of a power boost usually (not that he would need one), but it does keep their souls safely tucked away inside of his own; so long as he lives, they live. Given the destruction of their bodies, it's technically an extension of his job as a Destroyer. He will likewise extend this offer to those who serve him or earn his favor.
In the event Toriyama's canon runs contrary to any of this, of course my interpretation takes priority. ;)
