After thinking about it, I'm actually almost tempted to just change the context and say she had a big meal, instead of having her binge on watermelon, since it doesn't feel like she'll gain much weight from watermelon. :/

That's true, it's only a temporary weight gain here 'til she digests them. See, watermelons really have no appreciable fat content in them that would accumulate on her figure; they're 91% water by weight and only have a few grams of sugar, that's why they're nutritious and are a health food.

The reason I went with watermelon in the first place is because she actually did eat a lot of watermelon and got a swollen belly in the anime. I think I will just change the context and have her having eaten a big meal, instead.

I doubt she'd object if you brought her some more food. Astraea has quite a big appetite for an Angeloid. ;)
