It
had been a long day. Sam had only recently gotten off from her six
hour long shift at a fast food place, her feet aching and begging her
to sit down. It was one of the busiest days she'd ever experienced,
and where normally she'd get a thirty minute break during her shift,
today there was never a pause of customers to allow one.
Her
feet hit the gravel of her driveway and she shut the door. Nobody was
home yet, which meant she could strip right in the doorway if she
wished and head straight

The
air was thick and sat heavy on Dia's shoulders. Why did she agree to
go through with this? She wiped sweat away from her face for what
must have been the hundreth time, the motion having been repeated so
often it had become annoying.
When
her professor had told her there was a chance for her to study a new
growth in an uninhabited jungle in South America she'd practically
jumped at the oppurtunity. The university would pay for most of the
travel expense as long as their name was plastered
