The start to this drawing was streamed last year, and was my oldest waiting stream for a while now, so I'm very pleased to see it sorted \^ o ^/ Initially this was intended to be lineart and shading only, with no color, but that was mostly because I wasn't as confident with my coloring at the time. I feel the extra effort to splash some down was worth it! ❤

Fun fact. The trigger hairs on a Venus flytrap need to occasionally be “restimulated” after snapping shut and before the prey has been in there long enough for the digestive enzymes to have begun going to work or it will just open back up again.
In short, it LITERALLY needs its food/victims to be kicking and screaming until a certain point where death is assured.

It requires an additional five extra stimulations to the trigger hairs to consider that whatever it trapped is actually worth consuming.

Another fun fact: the Venus Fly Trap can effectively count the number of times the hairs are triggered, and the time in between each hair being triggered, so as not to accidentally shut. So if the person fed to it stays still and doesn’t trip the hairs rapidly they’ll live.
This person didn’t know that and got the thing to try closing around her. And of she doesn’t stay still now then she’s a meal.

That’s only would be if the person that the flytrap caught doesn’t know about the fact that the plant needs to be stimulated after closing five extra times for it to work on digesting her. If she did know about that she would stay as still as possible and the plant would open up again, letting her escape.
