Despite her heft and the number of exes who have made themselves a permanent layer of padding on her jugs, Umbra is actually one of the far more gentle nagas. She doesn't enjoy eating others alive, especially if she cares about them. She still wants to eat them, but she wants them to be just as much into the idea of becoming her's forever.
This is not easy due to the fact that Umbra is a half-blood. Her father was a wealthy human merchant from Peran who fell in love with an Obsidian naga from the volcanic regions of Zeymahzin, though the couple spent most of their lives in Nagendra before crossing over to Earth. Her mother by then had already eaten her father, and had taken over his businesses, making the family very wealthy.
Umbra really doesn't need to work. Her mother sells enough real-estate across two realms to provide for herself and her daughter most generously. This gives Umbra lots of leisure time.
