Amazonian was just a blanket term for anyone of massive frame. Ankabrinans, Kaybrinans and even some Portunans could be described as Amazonian/Titanic in size.

Ami's Mother, Cocoa is Ankabrinan. Her Father, Hope, is Portunan.

Okay, that makes a little more sense, I guess in a way the term Amazon could be interpreted as a sort "racial" slur, like how we call people names based on skin, birthplace or rank in society. I do remember you posting a race chart on tumblr before the whole fiasco with them purging everything that was even slightly pornographic or hentai :/
