We got something special for you all today.
This was NOT written by me. Rather, it was written by someone I can describe as a genuine fan of my OC, Dari. And on top of that, this story was a gift, and a surprise at that, as I had never spoken to the author before they sent me the completed work. Despite all that, their grasp on Dari's character and fascination with who she is impressed me immensely, not to mention the sheer flattery of someone writing a novel-length story about your character.
So a huge shoutout to SuperfluousBear for your work on this! The least I can do to repay you for this dedication is to share your work.
Plot: After finding herself in a mysteriously serene little reality, Dari is once again found by a giant woman with a particular fascination for her. This interest isn't quite the same as most others, however, as this otherworldy being known as Eclipse has plans to get to the bottom of just who and what Dari really is.
I wouldn't call this a vore story as much as it is a science fiction novel that involves vore. There is so much going on here and it's beyond flattering that someone found the inspiration and energy to write this from my darling little smol. SuperfluousBear also created and included a lot of lore for Dari's background and the idea of her place in the universe she traverses. I enjoy a lot of these observations, but do keep in mind that the contents of this story are not necessarily canon. However, there is one new development in particular at the story's end that I'm definitely looking forward to implementing in the future...
This is a LONG one guys, so if you're looking for something big with a more grand and whimsical feel, strap in and read on!

This is just, wow. You weren't kidding when you said this was a sci fi story featuring some vore. But it is still incredibly enjoyable. Ofcourse I am a sucker for anything with Dari.

Phew, that was... something else. I intended to leave my thoughts on this like a week back, but I guess I needed some time to actually process this monster.
If you're a prospective reader debating taking the plunge on this thing, I'd argue it's worth it even as nothing more than a genuinely enjoyable work of fiction.
I don't want to leave an entire essay in the comments here, so I'll try and keep this short, but I really can't understate my compliments to SuperfluousBear for their work on this, as well as my congratulations to you for crafting an OC that engendered this degree of passion.
The prose is fantastic, and even if it sometimes ventures into the slightly overindulgent for my personal preferences, there's this undercurrent of dry wit that's just wonderful. There are too many bits to count, but small passages like "Dari's Fourth Law" earned a genuine chuckle.
Really I find this whole story fascinating, as it's effectively an attempt to canonize a character that, by her very nature, defies traditional characterization. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but looking at the earliest works featuring Dari, I'm very much left with the impression of establishing a prey-ish OC and than later adding (or at least solidifying) plausible justifications, both for her ability to keep finding herself caught in vore-ish peril and still survive, as well as her inexplicable meetings with an eclectic assortment of theoretically incompatible characters (the little anecdotes featured here were some fun Easter eggs, by the way). Obviously there's nothing even remotely wrong with this, but there's something engrossing about watching an author actually craft a functional universe around the concept. Hell, the explorations into Dari's psychology (the stuff I see so many authors either flub or shy away from entirely) were probably some of the most compelling parts of the story.
I guess that just leaves me with Eclipse. As a character, she's effectively the glue that binds this whole thing together. The concept of an immortal, interdimensional librarian who can't help but get a bit too invested in her work is immediately endearing, and her passages are positively dripping with character. She plays of Dari's natural bashfulness wonderfully (and I'm secretly hoping to see more from this character at some point down the road, although I have a suspicion the author doesn't really produce much for the vore community, what with the empty account and all).
Okay, I'm going to force myself to stop now, before this gets silly. Real quick, if there's one substantive complaint I have it's the formatting. Aryion and xml just don't get along, and I was basically forced to download this and open it in a word processor to get through the whole thing.
