Hiyas, starting the gallery off with a bit of tribute/fanart from a few months back for RyanC
(apologies for not posting it sooner)
Really been enjoying all the preview/design material he's posted regarding "Cretaceous Seas" and the related game he's designing at the moment. Concept arts, test animations and other design elements...it's really interesting to get a peek into the game's production. ^^
Anyway, drew together a rendition of one of the test snake coil-and-vore animations shown so far. Jungle heroine Ayla ends up in the tight, curling grasp of a giant snake and...well, you can see one view of what's looming next for her. ;) The test animation included the initial SNAP to snag one of her breasts as well as her head, so that was worked in to be imminent too, in a playful lifting tongue way...
Honestly I haven't been drawing pure vorish material since...gah...we're talking old-original DisturbingThings forums era, so...have to see what transpires nowadays. ^^

The POV is pretty nice, though the coils look a little more wavy/irregular than one would expect (given that they're coils, it would make sense for the snake to be fairly smooth on the outside of the loops... unless this one happens to be supremely starving/underfed?)

Thanks. Regarding the outer edges of the snake's body, I agree actually, looking at it again. While the thing is still undulating a bit at the moment (not to mention Ayla there is struggling) it was probably a bit too much movement in the general coils.
I finagled a bit with the image just now and updated it to smooth out the outer edges in a few spots (mostly behind/around her shoulders), though I left an obvious curve to compensate its attempts to deal with her (bountiful) breast movement. ;) Hopefully it looks a bit better (and I didn't screw up the re-upload feature here).

Yeah, that looks more realistic. I can imagine that the roughness would be from the spine/ribcage. (It seems like it reuploaded fine!)

Love these sorts of reverse pov shots staring through a predator's maw at their prey's horrified face~

It's a fun viewpoint to try, something about the mix of seeing what's imminent combined with the reaction of the prey to seeing just that.

Looks nice and cozy in there albeit kinda lonely. Someone should keep her company!

Well, it IS quite a big serpent. I'm sure another unwary/unprepared jungle girl will be along shortly. ^^

Now this is a good POV! And I love the texture on everything. Lucky snake I'd say.

Heh, it's a really fun viewpoint to play with, going 'outward from the inside'. Plus the bonus of seeing (the reaction) of who/what is about to go inside there too.
Indeed, one lucky snake...if it can get past her breasts without choking. ;)

Indeed! Reactions/ faces are always a good detail and help to really sell an image. I know, we see faces in everything. But seeing the reaction of prey to their inevitable consumption just makes everything better. And some artists do it better than others. And yes, hopefully the snake doesn't choke on its own ambitions. XD

Is this pic part of a comic then?

Not a series per say but, back when I was putting the finishing touches on this, I was heavily considering doing a follow-up pic of this scene. Probably further along (maybe the point where it's just her wiggling feet sticking out) and from a more traditional perspective.
I still MAY come back to doing some sort of follow-up eventually but trying to finish/do a few other things first. ;)

You have a really impressive art style, I'm glad that someone linked me one of your works.

Trying to improve hopefully.
