On this day one year ago, the 23rd of November 2019 while kneeling atop the inspiring Mount Victoria in Wellington New Zealand I was the happiest dragon imaginable and became engaged to my loves, the Takan Twins. Breaking a fair bit with tradition we proposed at the same time to each other and exchanged Maori Pikorua pendants instead of rings. We decided to go with the Pikorua or triple twist as it symbolised
new shoots growing together - it represents the joining of cultures, the bonding of friendship for life. The design shows the joining of people in love or friendship for eternity, which we thought was the perfect expression. It's said to represent the path of life and symbolize the strong bond between loved ones. It’s a powerful expression of loyalty because the arms of the twist have no end point, just like lifelong relationships.
We wanted to commemorate this amazing moment in our lives even more by having this piece of artwork commissioned, taking the symbol of our betrothal combined with our personas (^.///.^) Rikku, Karyn, you are my oceans and I will love you for all eternity.
The sweet and beautiful, amazing, wonderful and lovable girls are of course the delightful Karyn and Rikku aka the Takantwins

This pic is so beautiful. It kind of reminds me of the Kingdom Hearts stained glass murals you use as platforms at the start of the game.
