Before you ask, yes, this is another holiday I came across. Today is International Nurses Day, and given what the pandemic has put them through over the last year, they deserve more than just a day at this point.
Some of you might be wondering why I didn't go with Nurse Toadstool for this. It's simple. Princess Peach didn't go to night med school to earn her MD and become Dr. Peach for me to just go and use her old title in a story. Besides, Nurse Joy isn't used that often, and she's cute too. And yes, this story does have more Empoleon making Emperor Palpatine references, I can't help myself.

And in a faraway region years after their complete utter disbanding with their high-ranking members either getting imprisoned, leaving for good or going insane...
Granted, Palpatine is "futuristic" in a sense, so time is massively compromised here.
In all honesty: Humanity is so screwed in this. The power level between Pokémon and Humans is so skewed in the Monsters' favor. Humans apparently CAN learn some Moves(particularly from the Fighting Type, there is almost in any Mainline Game an NPC-Trainer that boasts that(s)he taught/knows moves their Fighting Types use themselves and there are often Move Tutors too), but they probably need time to implement it at a larger scale. Time they likely don't have.
Granted, maybe not all Pokémon forego their Masters, but given that all of her Pokémon did a number on May all of the sudden these Interlopers will likely far and few between.
I never knew Devour had the ability to be performed with your private parts or heal someone but yourself. ;)
You are right. Nurse Joy is hardly used. Besides this I can only think of three other Stories I know of and one of them is a Transformation Caption and thus very short.

To take on Emperor Palpaplup, they'll need something other than fighting moves too. Really, humanity's best hope is that his Order 66 doesn't affect all Pokémon or that the godlike Pokémon step in to stop this before it goes too far.
Devour via private parts is a special talent that only medical professionals really learn.
