Doing her eyes like this came by chance when I darkened a copy of of the drawing layer which was beneath group which held the layers for the colour of her eyes. Her slit pupils, yellow iris and her darker Sclera complimented the settings well without looking cartoony.

You just also need a narrator with a pleasant sounding voice and a clear way of speaking as well.

Oh, there's this old documentary video of a snake eating a deer, I thought inspiration had been drawn from it based on that last line. Lemme see...ah, nuts, looks like BBC copyright claimed all the posted copies. Unfortunate. Well I'm pretty sure the voice was Attenborough.
