The winner of last month's poll. A look at part of an episode of celebrity chef Iris Foxvale's cooking show, Elven Eats.

Iris and her show are from a new, as-yet-unnamed "alternate Earth" setting where the Earth is hollow, and the various species of elf - a designation that in this setting includes not only what we'd typically consider elves, but also faeries like Iris and other species that differ even more, such as centaurs and melusines (essentially nagas with a paddle-like tail tip). All species of elf have certain traits in common. Most notably, the ability to swallow large prey whole. Another common trait is low sexual dimorphism outside of genitalia, with physiologically male elves having feminine curves and facial features. Most elven cultures show little or no differentiation in gender roles, and most individuals of both sexes prefer female pronouns. Standards of public decency are also typically looser among elves, as evidenced by Iris's attire.

Iris herself is a tall faerie, a species that averages a few inches shorter than humans. There are also small faeries, who typically stand about 6" tall. Both types of faeries have brightly colored, membranous wings with prominent claws and barbs like seen here. For most faeries, their natural hair color is similar to the skin of their wings, but this is not universal.
