Because willing prey doesn’t hate you. You’re wonderful to them. You make then feel complete. But, depending on how the rules of the pic or fic work, they might come back after you eat them. And then they’re gone. Forever. And now you’re alone again. Because you killed them. You had to. If you didn’t, they wouldn’t have loved you anymore.
