Apples for Ebony 15: Happy Beginnings

Applejack figited a little in her room. She looked herself over in the mirror, smiling in the dress. Her hooves now bore white boots, her usual hat traded for a white one that had a trailing veil behind it. Behind her stood Granny Smith, smiling softly.
 
"Yer as pretty as your ma was, my little pony." She said, coming close. Applejack smiled softly.
 
"Ah never thought ah would be here, ya now. Ah figured Ah would always be working the farm. Now Big Mac is gettin the farm and Ah am gunna be a housewife. But Ah have never felt so wonderful."
 
Granny Smith wrapped her forehooves around her. "Ah am happy too, sugarcube." She kissed Applejack, then turned away, losing her smile. "Ya know, Ah know I ain't got a Lotta time left, so seeing you happy makes me feel like Ah have dun yer folks good. If Golden and Pear were here, they would be so happy Fer ya both."
 
Applejack smirked. "Even their little apple being an apple pie a lot?"
 
The two giggled at that. Then Applejack remembered something, and went to show Granny a small box. And when Granny saw what was inside, she smiled.
 
"And he knows?"
 
Applejack nodded. "It was his idea."

Across town at his alchemy shop, Ebony was now sporting a fancy dress vest and a small top hat. He looked at SHODAN who actually looked like she was crying.
 
"SHODAN.... i..."
 
"Eb please." The digital entity began. "You look so handsome now, and I am proud to be your friend. You did so much for me and for so many. I only wish I could hug you, and sob my tears away, because I am so happy."
 
Ebony looked at her and smiled. "Then you'll like what Twilight and Applejack came up with." He placed some blueprints on the table, and SHODAN gasped.
 
"Eb... you...!!!"
 
Ebony smiled. "So much wonderful has come. We have a nice home, a wonderful wife, good friends, and a job I adore. My adventures have finally come to an end, and now so has your isolation. I'd like to make you my sister SHODAN, a part of my family."
 
SHODAN s core actually sparked a little as SHODAN smiled, crying happy tears in her image.
 
"Thank you." She said. "You better get going, you have a wedding to get to."
 
Ebony nodded. "You and Zecora will do well, and when I get back you'll have a new form." He grabbed a small box from a nearby counter.
 
Inside it was a rainbow colored seed.

As Applejack headed for the village square, walking through where the two had met, she thought back to all that had happened and what was about to. Today they would walk from the wedding to the planting grounds and....
 
And her thoughts paused as there before her were her pony friends, the mane six save for twilight who waited at the wedding pavilion. They all slowly approached. All except Rainbow Dash, done up as the wedding cake, the sides depicting the bride and grooms relationship, and Rainbow sticking out the top, smiling.
 
"Girls..."
 
The group surrounded Applejack in a hug, all but the aforementioned Rainbow Dash, who just smiled.
 
"AJ, a small part of me personally is upset we didn't become an item, but then again I got FT so I was already off the market. So.... yeah, all the happiness in the world."
 
Pinkie nodded. "Yeah! Your gonna be so happy!" She bounced happily, full of joy.
 
Rarity came over and hugged her tight. "I must admit darling I am sad you didn't use my design... but you look positively divine so I am happy all over again."
 
Fluttershy then walked over and hugged. "I'm very happy for you applejack."
 
Rainbow Dash groaned some. "Yeah rub it in I can't hug her. Can we get to the wedding so we can get me out of this?!"
 
Everyone laughed.

Only a few times before did the grand center of Ponyville look so lovely. Exotic flowers decorated the homes, and the main pavilion was covered in Rainbow streamers of all kinds. Ponies from all over Equestria were sitting on one side, though on the other were some... interesting figures.
 
There was a well dressed giant owl, a few small dinos with what looked like saddles grown into their backs, several humans (including one dressed like a sundae!), a big skunk that smelled of flowers, some sheep, a dark blue mewtwo, a white deer who stood on two legs, and even a feline clothed like a superhero team member. Heck there was even a black and white bear who looked somewhat sinister but smiled warmly! These and many more sat there, watching.
 
And there, at the front, was Ebony, standing by his newest friends, including a certain big green horse who looked more nervous than Ebony did. Stage looked at Ebony and swallowed.
 
"How are you not nervous?" Stage said.
 
"Simple.... I have all my friends past and present here with me. And my future about to arrive."
 
Stage chuckled. "True. You don't have to ROMANTICALLY swallow two ponies whole. In front of everyone." He felt sweat on his head. "Eating for a play or for survival is one thing... but admittedly this has me slightly concerned."
 
FT, standing beside them, nodded. "I know. But this will go just fine Stage. Remember Twilight and her coronation?"
 
Stage chuckled. Nothing more needed to be said as suddenly the doors opened. Everyone looked and awwed as they saw Applejack, being led forward by Granny Smith. As she approached, Ebony watched as, off all in town, the cutie mark crusaders began to sing a tune to the wedding March.

And as they reached the altar to stand
Before Twilight, Granny Smith gave Applejack a hug, nodding to the princess. She and Ebony stood side by side. Twilight sang as they stood there...

*their love has shown*
*from in their hearts*
*and what, may be,*
*won't tear them apart*
*for better or worse, in bad or good*

"We are gathered here to join Applejack Apple and Ebony Alchemist in matrimony, uniting them in love and vow. Love, friendship, marriage, we are bound to those we care for through these things. These bonds do not imprison us, but strengthen us. For alone in this world we cannot accomplish what we can do together. And when we make these bonds, may no one tear them apart."
 
Ebony smiled at Applejack who was crying a little, smiling as she stood close.
 
"Applejack-"
 
"I DO!" She shouted, everyone chuckling some. Even Rainbow Dash, still in cake, giggled at it.
 
"Not yet Applejack." Twilight whispered, causing more giggles. "I was just asking if you had the seeds."
 
The two looked as they saw Spike coming up holding two small boxes. On cue they opened. Applejack took hers first.
 
"Ebony, with this seed I plant, I also plant the seeds of our marriage. May they both grow strong and last forever, bearing fruit for years to come."
 
Ebony then took his seed. "Applejack, with this seed I plant, I also plant the seeds of our marriage. May neither be without love, and may they stand the test of time for years to come."
 
A pot was placed before them made of peat moss, and at the same time the two planted their seeds in the pot. Nearby several patrons on both sides were trying not to cry, knowing an Era was ending and another beginning. One of peace and love.
 
"By the authority invested in me by Equestria and all within it, may you have the blessings of this world. I now pronounce you stallion and wife. Ebony, you may kiss the bri-"
 
He needed no further hint as they kiss, cheers ringing out. But then everyone gasped as Stage came over.
 
"Well everyone we need to give them some privacy I think. Agree?"
 
"Agreed!" Everyone said. And on cue, Stage hoisted them up, the two embracing and never breaking their kiss as Stage swallowed them flank first. A few giggles broke out when they were stuck for a sec, but Stage got through it and continued to swallow.
 
"I wonder if they realized they forgot to cut the cake?" Rainbow Dash said as FT walked over with a knife.
 
"Oh no worries. Your not for the newlyweds."
 
Rainbow Dash blinked and gulped, seeing ponies and other things locking their lips as they looked at her.
 
"Ah well, just you get the good parts ok?"
 
FT kissed her. "Promise."
 
A resounding burp and laughter brought everyone back to the main scene as Stage sat there, rubbing his belly. Inside, Applejack and Ebony were cuddling close. They could hear the cheers as Stage walked out proudly.
 
On his flank was a sign with the words just married. Do not disturb!

At the afterparty, everyone shared in the Rainbow cake and had a little celebration in honor of the newlyweds, Pinkie talking all about the party they all would have when they came back, among other things. But Applejack and Ebony had none of it. They were with Stage as he headed home with his family.
 
"I love you." Ebony said, holding Applejack close.
 
"And I you sugarcube." She replied, the two holding each other tight, already beginning to make a family, Stage moaning quietly outside at the wonderful internal massage. He sighed and pat his belly gently.
 
For several days they stayed there, eventually made into pudge for awhile and wandering In a sort of Dream world until they reformed. At that time they had the biggest shindig the Apple orchard had ever seen, with every apple dish, fruit and pony alike, that could be imagined, combined with music and dancing and laughter. It was a wonderful way to end a story.
 
But it wasn't the end. Not really. For there is no end. One story was over, but another was beginning. And as Ebony and Applejack shared each other's company, a wonderful life was about to begin.
