This was just an idea I made a comic but I realized that the second part to this could go ANYWHERE. If anyone has some ideas for part 2 go ahead and put them in the comments.

Oh I can tell this is going to be so good. It already looks great and the ideas I'm reading here are all great too.
As a neat flavor thing, Great Sage could announce a fitting unique skill being added for each of his victims digested.

I feel like if this would happen it would be willing. Love the idea of him turning into Shion after digesting her.
If you are in for the long game, maybe add Shuna or some of the other member of his harem to the mix? Appart from Hinata, I am not sure how many would not dream to be in Shion’s place right now.
If you want to stop at Shion, you could always end with others admiring Kijin Rimuru or being jalouse of Shion!
