The attendants of the House of Frightful Fun, a living horror/fun house that feeds on the emotions of its prey. Once inside the prey is subjected to all the normal horrors one might find in a haunted house, and many other unique ones. Or they may find themselves enjoying fun puzzles and game, it depends on what the house wants from them.

Dae is a daemon that was bound to the house by its creator. His job is to make sure nothing harms the house and to find it more prey

Night, a nickname he chose thinking it was clever, is the son of the Carnival's owner. His father gave him the position, telling him it was to keep an eye on Dae. Really though, Dae does practically nothing unless it involves protecting the House, so usually he uses his time to goof off.
