Okay, so there's a lot going on this page. For those who aren't familiar with Barbara, Nol, & Ellie, this will likely confuse you. I'll offer some context for each doodle, though if there's any remaining questions, feel free to ask in the comment section below. Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys this lovely art by the fantastic artist,  kimera66

Top left: Barbara and Ellie have been married for many years, and they're deeply in love. Part of what drew Ellie to Barbara was the latter's savory smell, for humans are quite the delicacy for Gorgons. What's more, there was an odd aroma of home that filled Ellie with warm nostalgia, so she naturally wanted to eat Barbara. Unable to bring herself to do it, however, the two became friends before eventually falling in love and getting married.

So, when Barbara grew horns and discovered she was a Creature of Leng hybrid, Ellie realized something: her wife could eat her! A Gorgon's insides are much too inhospitable for most Nightmares to survive, but a Creature's acids are too weak to eat through a Gorgon's bronze skin. So together, the wives practice safe vore regularly, with Ellie becoming a delicious part of Barbara's diet. They've never been closer or happier!

Top Middle: As Creatures of Leng, Nol and Barbara have innate illusion magic. They can use said magic to craft fake fire, spin butterflies out of thin air, or change the layout of entire rooms. Notably, they can apply said illusion magic to themselves, shapeshifting their bodies to suit their needs.

Now, Barbara only awakened to her Creature side a few years ago; it takes centuries to fully master illusion magic. So when Barbara shapeshifts herself, the effects are pretty mild. What's more, she lacks the sadism to properly scare people; at best, Barbara can sharpen her teeth. Nol, on the other hand, is only too happy to scare the shit out of folks! How else can a Nightmare eat someone's fear, eh?

Top Right: This one is self-explanatory: after devouring enough customers, Barbara's belly has grown so big that she can barely move. Nol doesn't appreciate it when she does this, since its bad for business, but come on! Retail work sucks, even in a magical pawn shop that travels across the universe. What's a rude customer or thirty if it means a less stressful day? Besides, Nol made Barbara work through her lunch break, so really this is their fault.

Bottom Left: Before Barbara discovered her heritage and moved into Nol's shop, the Creature only had need for one bed; their father vanished years ago and their mother was long since buried. Nol lived a simple life, the life of a long-standing bachelor(ette), so they slept in a humble twin bed. So when Barbara arrived, there was the question of where she'd lay her head.

Well, Nol wasn't gonna buy her a bed! That shit is expensive! So Barbara simply had to take the bed for, uh, forever. Nol doesn't mind, the couch is ten times comfortable anyway, even with the loose springs and ratty covering! The Creature just wishes Barbara wouldn't eat so much cake and people for dessert; its difficult rolling her fatass into bed!

Bottom Right: At the Sivan Sibling's Store of Sinful Selections, magic items of all kinds can be found. Some are deadly weapons from bygone eras, their edges still coated from blood; others are curious bobbles that are useless on their own, but to a discerning eye can be powerful tools, such as wolf statues that can grant the user temporary invulnerability. And some artifacts can invoke rare rituals that call deep into one's very bones.

Whatever artifact someone wishes to buy, however, it is essential to follow one simple rule: never touch the merchandise without protection. Sometimes magic leaks out of the tools, contaminating the user; others are sensitive and could explode at the smallest touch. And some possessed by spirits that are just cruel.

So, when Barbara picked up the Idol of Endless Fertility, she was surprised to discover herself suddenly pregnant with twins. Nol chastised her when Barbara called for help and told her to put it down, but before Barbara realized it, she bore quadruplets and was already leaking milk. The longer she held the talisman, the more babies Barbara would be stuffed with! There were thousands of spirits trapped in the fertility idol, all eager to be born, and Barbara is just foolish enough to bear them all!

Stupid spirits!

Not gonna lie, I was tempted to write drabbles for each section of this doodle page. However, not only would that be a massive undertaking with my busy schedule, but also confusing: anyone who doesn't know the specific lore of these characters would be lost, and going in-depth exploring their relationships and world would be like writing complete, individual stories. So I opted for a more straightforward, shorter route.

That said, I'd like to write a Barbara, Ellie, & Nol story someday. If  ruler101 would allow it, it would be fun to see Barbara get into some silly situations as a sweet, innocent pred who still eats people alive haha!
