The winner of last month's poll. A look into the past of my alternate Earth "Tribble". Despite the major differences, history on this world has played out with more-or-less the same major events and roughly equivalent historical figures, though historical figures that were male in real life were generally females or hermaphrodites here. In the 1920's in the USA of Tribble, there was a prohibition, much like in real life, with the significant difference that the temperance movement also made it illegal for herms to eat people during this period. Thus, vore was forced into speakeasys much like the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The two activities often mixed together, with it being common for women intended to be served as prey to soak in giant-sized, heavily watered-down cocktails before they got served to herms, such as the "queen bee's knees" seen here, which despite the volume would only contain as much gin as perhaps four or five regular sized bee's knees cocktails, with the rest being water, lemon juice and honey syrup. Other popular prey cocktails included the humantini, the Manhattan girl and the white lady & lady.

Even in modern times on Tribble, some places continue to offer prey cocktails to herm customers, but as herms can easily catch their own prey without fear of repercussion nowadays, such things are less popular. While the girl in the queen bee's knees here is obviously willing, that was not true of all prey served at speakeasys during the prohibition. Many women were kidnapped off the street or ended up being plated due to getting on the wrong side of someone in the mob. Such women would generally be served trussed up and gagged to prevent them from escaping or attracting unwelcome attention by calling for help.
