Dragons are quite the problem for lone travelers, always swooping down and making easy meals of unprepared prey. But in this case it seems the dragon wasn't prepared for their adversary at all. Undeterred by the dragon's monstrous size, the dog was more than eager to wolf them down in the midst of their journey.
Maybe a bit too eager though, as it seems they hadn't thought through the consequences of such a large and armored meal. Oh well, a bit of indigestion is worth all the new padding he got from it. It's doubtful they'll have to eat again for the rest of the trip, unless another dragon shows up, of course.
