Becky is a Mantis Lady, whom has decided to never eat her now married young hubby (after a bad experience marrying and eating an infertile previous husband). Despite the age gap, she holds onto Jonathan at all times. She does not like being in a room alone without him. She has found happiness and ways to satisfy her two types of hunger without harming her boy lover.

Jonathan (or Jon) is young, still a college boy but is happy with Becky. Before he met her, at a very young age, arranged marriages at a young age was common in Mantis societies. Jon thought he was in love but got a traumatic experience when he found out that he was going to be eaten. Becky changed that for him by opening herself immediately to him, thus the two fell in love.
