This story was finished a month later than I'd initially hoped, and I blame that on me taking the time to replay half of the story mode to fully refresh myself on the events of Chapter 15. Could I have just replayed the one chapter? Yes. Do I regret not doing that? Not at all, full context is always better than partial.
But yeah, the second story of the Dragalia Lost Marathon is officially here, starring my favorite character of the Shadow element, and quite frankly one of my favorite characters in the game as a whole. Cassandra is always going to be a character that holds a special place in my heart, and now a special place in my gallery too. This story was definitely a lot longer than I first expected it to be, and is no doubt going to be the longest out of all of the Dragalia Lost stories to come this year. So for those who enjoy a little less build up, stay tuned! And for those that enjoy AV content from me, also stay tuned, we've got five stories left to go in this marathon, and two more of them are ass based! One of them even features what I'd go as far as to say is my favorite ass in all of fiction.
That said though, I want to take a moment to encourage those of you who've had interest in Dragalia Lost but never tried it to do so now. The game will be closing its doors and ending its service at 1am on November 30th, making November 29th the last full day of service the game will see. That's just shy of two months after the posting of this story. If you have the means of installing and giving the game a try, please, do just that, experience what the game can offer you in that two month time frame. As far as I'm concerned, the more people who can have memories of playing this incredibly charming gacha game before it's gone, be they positive or negative, the better. Plus, though I personally am very unlikely to continue writing with the game after this marathon comes to an end, I'd love nothing more than to see it continue to get content here on Eka's well into the future. Lord knows there are tons of deserving characters I can't get to in just seven stories. The 4th anniversary celebrations and rewards in the game have just rolled around, so if there's any time to give it a go, it's now.
With all of that said and done though, I'm hoping to have the third story in this marathon ready for release sometime in mid to late October. It's going to feature a favorite character of a close friend of mine, and one that's fitting enough for the month she'll be releasing in, all things considered. I hope for it to be something worth looking forward to.

It's just a piece of Cassandra's official artwork, specifically one of her in-game dialogue portraits. Here's a link to her wiki page to see it in more detail.

And does this story have spoilers for Dragalia Lost (tags)? Cause I might play it sometime
Posted by TotalPKMN 2 years ago Report
It does, yes. This story contains spoilers for Cassandra's character specific story, as well as up to Chapter 15 of the main story campaign. If you'd rather play the game yourself before reading, that's absolutely valid and encouraged.

Damn, I already read it.

That said, a fair amount of particularly major moments were specifically left out, only hinted at at most in the story. So while some things are spoiled, plenty of twists in the campaign were left unsaid.

I’ve delayed commenting on this story for too long. This is a masterclass piece. Your initial description of Cassandra made her a living and breathing person. Especially for someone like me who hasn’t played Dragalia Lost (and with my current schedule it unfortunately seems like I will not be able to do so). The anal vore scene and how it came about organically was superb. I might be a bit biased since I have a preference of predator’s with advanced experience such as Cassandra. Your descriptions on how she derived pleasure from the incident was spellbinding. I absolutely loved the ending where you mentioned that she recorded this memory for her to play whenever she wants. It displays a unique sense of permanent ownership of the prey, without removing him from the story and allowing him to continue with his journey. A narrative direction that allowed you not to detract too far from their original characterization I bet. This may be my favorite piece from you yet, but don’t let that statement bound your creativity. I’ve enjoyed reading a number of your stories. Regardless of how gentle or dominating the characters are. The prose you utilize is simply a good read for me. I actually read this story on the second day of release but have been delaying commenting on it for far too long. As I was left at a loss of how to exactly word my appreciation for this story in a comment. I hope that you weren’t too bothered by this text blurb, and looking forward to more Dragalia Lost content (or whatever) from you.

Thank you so much for all the kind words! I assure you, this didn't bother me in the slightest. If anything, it made my day. Comments like this are a bigger motivation to keep on writing than views or favorites could ever be. With any luck, the remainder of the marathon, and everything it has in store, will continue to be worth looking forward to.
