Ah, it feels like it's been so long since I've drawn again! I was sick - not just with typical light, but the flu, in fact I'm just getting over it now. Also I've been very bogged-down with a non-vore project, but I'll be able to take a break from it soon. I don't have any plans for the holidays, other than a few drawings, so this one shouldn't be the last of the year.
So, as a comeback drawing, for motivation, I've gone with something personally appealing - that is, feral bat Juniper getting grabbed and gobbled up by a hungry animal. Again, this is a situation where I've been cursed to be stuck as a mortal bat, with no wild instincts, or memory of my past life as a vampire - just doomed to get snatched up and eaten while I squeak helplessly!
In this scenario, I'd just gotten up for the night to hunt for bugs, when a sneaky possum gal grabs me from behind - she'd just gotten up too, and spied herself a nice little bat breakfast! Soon her toothy maw was over my trembling head, and she bites just hard enough to show me what she could really do. I struggle, but don't fight hard, lest I be chewed apart! It's too late now anyway, since she's swallowed my head, and has my hips firmly between her lips! That hot, lashing tongue was exploring the whole region between my legs, making me hot and blush. I moaned, pulling my arms and wings over my face, but all I could muster was muffled protests. Ignoring me, the possum tasted deep into my crevices for several more minutes, before another big gulp sent me further down. Now with my head mostly down her tight throat, and my soft & saliva-soaked butt squeezing through the top, I thought this nightmare was almost over. But then she stopped again, and that torturing tongue gave my feet a go. It slurped and slapped at my soles, causing me to shiver and moan - which only got worse as she slid her tongue between each of my toes, at least a half dozen times. When she'd thoroughly licked the oils from my feet, replacing them with her hot and sticky saliva, she made one last swallow - sealing my fate. I dropped suddenly into her hot, stinking stomach, and tingling acid splashed around me as I landed. I felt a rumble as the possum sat down, and a mighty belch erupted from her mouth. The stomach walls caved in on me suddenly, crushing my arms and legs to my body. I stretched as far as I could, trying to screech, while avoiding getting the acid in my mouth. She began rubbing me - rather hard - through her belly, and I took the hint to calm down. It wouldn't be long before I'd pass out, and begin dissolving - feeding this possum gal for the night. By sunrise, she'd spit out my clean bones in the forest grass - a tiny, purple, spotted, oddy-humanoid bat skeleton. A strange sight to see, perhaps, but in the end - just another animal's breakfast.
Whew, OK, I didn't intend to write this like a story, just a little blurb in first person to insert myself - and I got carried away. Guess I was inspired - I just love drawing bat Juni, especially in the mood I'm in. I feel like a defenseless little goblin-y thing, too slow and dumb to be a wild creature, and mercilessly eaten as a meal. Well, in this mood that persona turns me on, at least, so bat Juniper works nicely to fill that gap. Not sure yet what else I'll be able to draw this month, besides Taffy's Christmas and New Year's pics. Hope everyone is doing well, now I'm off to get some sleep - very behind again!

Neat, glad to see you're doing okay. I also really enjoyed the story, it was nice.

Thanks - unfortunately it got worse for a few days after I posted this, but I'm OK now - better than last week, anyway

At least you are doing better.

Possums are cute little creatures and are the america's only native marsupial. Good to see you helping keep the local population full and healthy :3
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Yes, it is strange - Australia has many, South and central America a handful, but North America only gets one. I've heard they can be kind of vicious, too
Posted by ChaoskampfNunc 2 years ago Report
Well it's not that strange really, placential mammals evolved only after south america and australia had separated from the rest of the gondwana super continent meaning that they had no chance to spread to those locations. South america of course reconnected to north america via the isthmus of panama which lead to an event known as the "Great American Interchange" that saw the majority of south american marsupials go extinct due to pressure from competition with placental mammals. The opposum was one of the south american marsupials that survived and the only one that successfully migrated north to become the fuzzy little fluff balls we know today. As for australia, it never fully reconnected to a major land mass so its indigenous population of marsupials were safe... until humans brought some of their own mammals along but that's a story for another time.

Oh yes, actually I remember seeing that on a map showing the marsupial separation as the continents drifted apart. Forgot about that one, it makes sense now.

Glad to see you're back! Hope you feel well soon, flu can be hella crappy. What a piece to come back with aswell <3 Especially love that third panel, and the blurbs where you get carried away are often the best ^_^

Oh yeah, and since it's been a few years since I've had it, I'm having a hard time fighting this flu off. It came back with a vengeance after I posted this pic!
Looking back, it was a pretty nice pic & story to come back with. Guess my skills don't fall behind as much anymore...

Oh no, relapses like that are never fun :( Hope you're able to get the rest you need for a swift recovery.
The more you practice, the deeper it'll be etched into you, and the longer it will take to fade ^_^ Though to be honest you just seem to get better everytime you post <3

Today I'm feeling better again, more than before - actually, I got a pretty colourful and detailed comic done and surprised myself! Just answering comments before I get submitting...

Darn possum's, gotta stay in the air if you're in a tasty bat form. Ah well, maybe she'll revive like vampires sometimes do after being 'killed'.
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Ah, but this was feral Juni. Cursed to be mortal, forgets who she was, and a little dumb. She was bound to be a snack for something!
Posted by balanced-guy 2 years ago Report
Ah well, a possum probably wasn't the worst pred for her to be eaten by. Any plans for Juniper to get chowed on by the Necrosaurus or maybe a Gobblisk? She seems to be avoiding them pretty well XP.
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Oh, there's been plans in the works for a Necrosaurus/Juniper comic for a while, but not sure when the time is right - it keeps changing, getting really into my psyche about what the character represents. Or a Gobblisk? I hadn't thought of having one eat me, that's an idea I quite like!
Posted by balanced-guy 2 years ago Report
Yeah you got a nice big mouth and a long body that's great for external bulges and internal shots ;)
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Very true, had that in mind when I made them. Perhaps Juniper needs to get gobbled by one soon!

Welcome back! Didn't know possums liked to nom on bats... I learned something, and glad you were so inspired!
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Thanks! And... I'm not sure, actually. A lot of nocturnal mammals do though, so I figured it'd make an OK pred
Posted by Brains2 2 years ago Report
Hey, why not have fun with the food chain, I say! =D They made cute pred and prey, makes me wonder if those wings don't help if you get too close to the ground or a tree!
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
I figured Juniper's wings aren't like normal bat wings - as she used to use vampire magic to fly - and therefore doesn't fly very well as a normal bat
Posted by Brains2 2 years ago Report
Ooo,smart! Love reading lore like this. :)

can't beat a cute pred with a cute prey~
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Exactly!

Gotta be careful, those possums are really sneaky. Not sure if this counts as sneaky but one found its way into the cat food back when my family used to keep the cat's food in the garage.
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Oooof, that's too bad. I imagine they're just like big rats - that's almost what they look like!
Posted by Undue 2 years ago Report
Yeah kinda. They can be a bit freaky when you encounter one unexpectedly up close... especially like your character just did.
Posted by JuniperBerry 2 years ago Report
Oh, I bet. Just about any rodent can be a vicious little bugger!
