The concise thing about today's AI is: you get back exactly what you ask for, like from a "but that is literally as you wished" genie in a bottle.

Additionally, it one to one replicates the behavior that matches the sample data and its rating that you fed it during training. So an application assessment AI will represent the exact biases of the hiring managers who provided the scoring of the test data. And if - as it occurs to me - Currylab's AI has been fed the problem-solving skills of Merry, Erin, Yoko, ...

Vobo's AI seems to be based on a completely different technique, otherwise Merry could hardly outsource her conscience to her, and she would not be able to provide Currylabs' much-lauded customer service and award-winning employee satisfaction. So there might still be a small but statistically significant survival likelihood for non-customers.

"Compensation proceedings were settled by mutual agreement out of court after the alternative proposals of the 'Dissolution of Legal Problems' AI were presented to the affected parties." AFAIK, the legal department does not report directly to Currylabs or Vobo, but has access to most of their technical achievements.
