I have an idea I want to start working on today. I haven't really done anything recommended yet, but if you have story ideas I'll at least hear them out.

I was meaning more of recommending other stories this reminds me of. but there is one story idea i keep bringing up and one author expressed curiosity in, but more the merrer

The idea is there is cruel pred, maybe a king, CEO, Dragon, Alien or some combo of all of above who toys with his/her prey. However they for some reason have a soft spot for one prey, but either they are repressing it or not just expressing it well.

They torment said favorite prey by forcing it to listen to other prey digest, maybe they are thinking of it in a more benoviolent light of showing the prey how lucky they are to be worthy of the attention of such a alpha pred.

Something happens and either the prey, prehaps giving up on life does something to provoke them, something dangerous happens to prey or pred just notices the despair in prey.

End Result is pred panics, possibly endos prey, and tries to figure out how to make the prey better, maybe he builds a nest out of pillows and blankets, starts playing dress up with the prey, and keeps on reassuring the prey is safe and giving them gifts. Also tries to feed the prey.

Prey takes a while to realize they are safe and recover from the trauma of being the plaything of pred, but slowly realize there promotion pet or even mate is permanent and good for them.

What do you think of this concept. any parts you like, or dislike?

I don't really do digestion, but I actually have toyed with the idea of a protective pred trying to help a prey who has given up on life before. After my current project is done maybe I'll move on to that.

That sounds like it could be wonderful. Through it is sounds like it missing the terrified prey part, which would make it more wholesome, through I think it be interesting to have more, scared/angry/despairing prey because he thinks it is going to be fatally vored when that not what the pred wants.

The story I'm making now features some of those elements, particularly fear. The difference being the pred trying to save the prey is not the same pred who ate them, leading to some complications.
