Sasha and Lumnar are a team: both are on Lumnar's side. The tigress, though, has a long way to go. Although she is Lumnar's sole link to the material plane, her power and capabilities are sadly lacking compared to what he was led to believe in that first walk of hers through the aether. That, of course, won't do. A proud dragon spirit such as his deserves a magnificent form that can bear the full might of his soul. So...it's up to Sasha to finally let his wisdom in and learn what it means to build around the core of a dragon.

Sasha won March's vote for the character-focused story, and here it is! Sasha and Lumnar, in many stories (especially kink-focused ones), seem to have an antagonistic relationship. This, however, overlooks a great number of details. The truth is that both are crucial to the other. Lumnar's only means of regaining the might he feels he once had is through the influence of a runebound summoner, and Sasha's only means of continuing to be the magical girl she is is through the proximity of a powerful spirit like Lumnar. As fickle, moody, and cold as Lumnar may be, and as oblivious, weak, and lacking as Sasha is, their only route to their best lives seems to be each other.

I like SFW stories like this: stories that mean everything for a character, but mean nothing in the world's view. It provides interesting moments where the characters either surprise themselves...or have to come to terms with a contradiction. It's rare I get to write stuff like this; I'm glad I designed the polls to help motivate me to write more like this. x3
