With all the resources I harvest from Jess' body, it's only natural some end up being a bit more dangerous to get. Today's target resource was DEFINITELY one of the riskier ones.
A lot of people don't realize this, but snot actually has quite a lot of applications. It's sticky, collects dust fairly well, and can even be hardened into a decent cement when mixed with a few other resources. If you're really desperate it can also be a salty snack, but I have a rule against picking my friends' noses. Unfortunately, harvesting snot can be quite a hassle.
Jess had been busy today trying to organize the shelves she rarely touched in her house. Naturally her efforts had managed to kick up quite a large amount of dust and she was starting to get stuffed up.
This was the first hurdle I had to pass. The nose isn't always full of useful types of snot. Colds, allergies, and cleaning days were by far the most successful days for snot harvest. Thankfully, since Jess was fully focused on keeping her balance on her stool, there was a good chance I'd avoid one of the three greatest threats of snot harvesting: Kleenexes!
Making my way up Jess' body I made my way into her nose. The thick black vines of her nose hair swayed back and forth being nearly knocked over by each of Jess' powerful breaths.
The wind of Jess' breathing was another of the great hurdles one would have to surpass in order to harvest snot as maintaining your balance within it took quite a lot of practice.
Walking up to a pile of snot that had gotten tangled on one of Jess' nose hairs, I took off my bag of holding, nailing it to the ground with a toenail peg. At my size Jess would barely feel my makeshift anchor, but it would hopefully prevent my invaluable bag from being carried away if Jess were to sniff, sending it plummeting down into her stomach or lungs far below. Jess' sniffs were the second of the three greatest threats of snot harvesting.
Grabbing my toenail pickaxe I began working away at the large lump of snot, storing the clumps in my bag for future use. From my years living on Jess' body, I had learned how to brace my legs in rhythm with Jess' breathing, but any sniffs she gave would still risk sending me flying. An even worse thought would be if Jess were to finally sneeze. Sneezes were the third and by far greatest of all threats faced in snot harvesting.
Looking around at the amount of snot that had accumulated in Jess' nostril, she didn't seem to be in the danger zone quite yet, but it was probably still best that I finished here quickly.
