It was supposed to be a perfect plan: a quick dip in the ocean at low tide while the sun was setting on a private beach, the owners of which were out on vacation, then it would be off to break into their residence and burgle all of the lovely trinkets and valuables they owned. Being a private beach, no one would be around, so what would it hurt to just have a swim in the nude? It wasn't like Reoku carried a swimsuit with him wherever he went. It had been a hot, cruel summer, so a cool sunset swim would do him some good... wouldn't it?

The swim was uneventful and refreshing, despite his usual aversion to larger bodies of water, a trait for which his feline side had to be responsible. Perhaps his inherent fear of water was unwarranted. Feeling rejuvenated and energized after the cool swim, the catboy thief decided to sit on the beach, dry off while the sun was setting, then work under the cover of night to pillage the residence he had his eye on for some time. Peace... quiet, just the sound of the low waves brushing against the beach, it was perfect. There was nowhere else Reoku would rather have been. Unfortunately for the unlucky catboy, he didn't realize he wasn't alone on that private beach. Someone... or rather something had taken interest in his presence there, and he wouldn't find out he had a guest with him until it was too late.

Behind the catboy, a marine flatworm had emerged from the sea in search of food; a slimy, living blanket of flesh oozing and slithering its way across the sand looking for a tasty morsel to encompass and swallow. As luck would have it, this worm was large enough to find a meal in the distracted catboy who was lost in the lovely visual of the setting sun. No hard shell, no large vise-like claws... the naked thief would be a perfect meal. The creature made no sound as it glided across a layer of mucus being secreted from its body, rearing up behind Reoku and flaring itself out to cover as much of its prey as it could once it fell on them. From there, gravity did the rest, and the peaceful silence was broken by a sickeningly wet plop, followed by a startled caterwaul.

Reoku had no idea what was happening at first, crying out in unbridled shock and surprise while he turned to see what had him. Everything started happening so quickly from there, the flatworm coiling and wrapping around its prey to prevent any sort of escape, though that wouldn't stop him from trying. The sudden added weight of the worm coupled with all of the nasty; sticky slime made the catboy's fleeing quite a clumsy, fumbling ordeal. Valuable seconds ticked by, the fleshy blanket enveloping and folding over more of the thief's frantic body. "Wh- what the hell are you? Get off of me! This is so gross! Help! Somebody help m-yaaaaaah!" Reoku's pleas were cut short when he felt something else besides the sticky, oozing embrace of the slimy worm: the creature had inserted something in between his rump cheeks, squirming its way deeper inside.

Humiliation set in harder than ever, Reoku tensing up into a fetal position in response to the invasive appendage, which was just what the flatworm was hoping would happen. Now that its prey had decreased its overall size, it would be so much easier to overwhelm and devour. Darkness crept over the coiled catboy; not because the sun was nearly gone under the horizon, but his captor had been able to fold completely over him, sealing him inside its gloppy embrace. Any sound Reoku made now was muffled out by the worm's bulky body and slimy sucking. The catboy would realize much too late that the appendage invading his rear end was a part of the creature's mouth located closer to the middle of its body, which opened to welcome in his currently scrunched up legs. It was only a matter of time before the rest of Reoku's body began sliding inside, his protests and struggles made nearly impossible due to all of the mucus covering him. To add insult to injury, the worm used its front end to fold down over and push the catboy's head the rest of the way inside until there was nothing of him left on the outside world. The process had been so quick that, had anyone been passing by at the moment, they would have sworn the worm merely absorbed its prey directly into its body, a wriggling lump all that was left of the thieving catboy. The marine flatworm would not have to feed for quite some time...
